Title: Sportscenter Play of the Day
Post by: scoop85 on April 11, 2007, 08:21:04 AM
In case you missed it, both Colucinni's (sp?) save from his butt and Mad Max's game winning goal were featured as Sportscenter's #1 "play of the day."

I REALLY hope someone gets that clip.
Title: Re: Sportscenter Play of the Day - last time Cornell highlighted?

When was Cornell's last appearance in highlights of the day? There was Cornell's OT win to make the Frozen Four years ago.

Yes, please, someone YouTube it.  I saw it on TV this morning but would love to share it around.

I don't know about "last" - but I remember the tying and winning goals against Harvard in the ECAC finals in 2003 made the top 10.

Not ESPN's Top Ten, but at least you see the goal (after sitting through an SU ad):

What I like is it was definitely a Cornell crowd, and you can hear the pep band playing Davy.

Schoellkopf North, anyone?  :-D

Was that the same clip they used on SportsCenter, or were they able to find one with a better angle?

Sportscenter had the sideline view from the TV feed (I'm guessing the TWS26, unless someone else was broadcasting the game)

When did All Access come into this conversation?

The fans in lycra tank tops dancing in the aisles appeared to be Syracuse partisans, and a great reminder of why college can be the best four years of your life, if you can ever get a date.

No more airings of that SportsCenter today, so maybe someone has that clip captured and can YouTube it?

A local Syracuse sports report has low-res highlights from the broadcast linked at the bottom of their home page:

An epic game and finish in the history of CU lax.  Part of me wishes I could've been there, but I may not have been able to survive to the end.

Reading all the rules on the other thread and seeing it for the first time here, I don't see how it comes close to being illegal.
