In the WCHA consolation SCSU is up 1-0 with a goal within the first minute of the game. Elliott taken out after 45 seconds.
May I say that, damn, these Minn announcers piss me off. And its not even a Minn game!
A couple minutes ago they referred to how Vanek is now a, and I quote, "NHL Superstar".
Now I looked him up and he's actually doing quite well, but until that I couldn't've told you where he played or even if he was still in the league. That's hardly 'Superstar'.
Bucky ties it at 1.
1-1 at the end of 1.
Now 3-1 SCSU as wisonsin is taking a ton of penalties.
3-2 SCSU at the end of 2.
Gametracker has MSU up 4-3 on LSSU with 6:44 left in the 2nd

LSSU ties it!
MSU wins 7-6
MSU wins 7-6
According to the SLU announcers, that game went into OT too. So it things follow suit, SLU v. Dartmouth should also have "bonus hockey" (albeit only 5 minutes).

It did go to OT after LSSU scored EAGs to tie it. I think that both Wisc. and MSU wins were also in 5 min. OTs seeing as they were both consy games.

Air Force officially wins AHA for their first auto-bid and the first for any service academy.

BC wins Hockey East with an ENG, 5-2
2 conferences down, 3 to go
Notre Dame has won their first ever CCHA title. They killed a penalty for the last 1:53.
Just the ECAC and WCHA to go.
Minnesota 3 North Dakota 1 in their game.

UND ties it up.

I've got the audio from UND. Fun to listen to.
Since Denver and CC are not in the tourney, will the committee "award" Air Force with the #4 seed in the Denver regional so that there will be some reason for the locals to go to the games?
Is there much difference between UAH and AirForce that flipping their seeding (15 and 16) would matter much to ND and Minnesota?
Too bad for the WCHA this year, only 3 teams in compared to 4 for CCHA and 5 for HEA. I wonder how their fans will explain that? ;-)
Damn those gophers!
Wheeler scores just a few minutes into the OT session. He dived to touch the puck before an icing was called, did so and "directed" into the net. This should make SportsCenter.
You just can't get a decent OT game unless the UMD Bulldogs (male or female) are involved.
UMD Lady Bulldogs v. Wisconsin, tomorrow at 1 pm on CSTV.
Blake Wheeler scored an unreal once-in-a-lifetime goal in OT to win it for the Gophers. He dove for the puck as it was heading towards the UND net, and flat on his stomach, sliding on the ice, he managed to whack it in with one hand.

OOf. Talk about "unlucky sieve."
The news caught my eye given the fact that they went undefeated (27-0-2), like that other team we know...;-)
