UAA 1 @ Minnesota 1, 14 minutes left in the 3rd.
Minnesota switched goalies.. Frazzee (sp) is in for Briggs tonight. Briggs played in games 1 and 2.
UAA jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, and then had a 5 min PP which believe it or not, looked worse than ours. Seawolves take a penalty with a minute left in 5 min PP to end that.
Minnesota scored a PPG about 5 minutes into the 2nd to tie it. Minnesota is gaining back the momentum. Not a full house.. goofers are on spring break.
MTU 1 @ CC 0 with about 8 minutes left in the 1st.
Seawolves v. gophers still tied at 1, 2:30 left in the 2nd.
UMD 2 @ SCSU 1, end of 2nd period.
UAA 1 @ Minnesota 1, start of the 3rd
MTU 1 @ CC 0, end of 1st period.
The Seawolves have got SPUNK. The smallest guy on the ice #9 Clark (who also has the UAA goal) just took a gopher right off the puck. Clark is a forward and he played the guy like he was a 6-5 D-man. One of the Seawolves is named "Beagle", so that is reason enough for my hound dog Abby-Baby to root for them.
Shoot. Gophers just scored to make it 2-1. 11:16 left in the 3rd.
Seawolves season is coming to an end. They had a PP with 3;16 left, and opted to keep the goalie in the net. Gophers scored a SHG. The UAA goalie made the initial save, but his stick deflected the puck up and next thing you know it was in the net.
MTU Huskies still up 1-0 on CC in the 2nd.
UMD and SCSU headed into OT.
MTU 1 @ CC 0, end of 2.
Just over 6 minutes left in the 3rd, MTU hanging on to the 1 goal lead.
On behalf of one of my best 2006 election volunteers in Arizona, COME ON SCSU!!!
MTU 1 @ CC 0. Final.
Still waiting for an update on the other game.

UMD 2 @ SCSU 2 2nd OT period just starting.
UMD Audio is here: http://www.warpradio.com/popTuner.asp?id=5230
EDIT: Oops, looks like you might have found it while I was typing.
The UMD announcer is going to have a hard time making it through the rest of the game. He is very anxious.
UMD hit a post. SCSU just had a good scoring chance but UMD cleared it.
11:27 left in period 5.
This game is fuuuuuun to listen to. I think this announcer is great. Enthusiastic - and clearly rooting - but he seems to be evaluating with a neutral eye.
Yes, I'm also enjoying the announcer. I thought for a second they were going to have to make an emergency cut to commercial when UMD rang a shot off the pipe --he became almost hysterical, but in a pleasant way. :-P
I just hope they have medical personnel standing by. No matter who wins it, I worry about this guy.
3:30 left in OT#2.
Triple OT ::popcorn::!! ::banana::
I hope there is a mini-mart open near the rink so that the team trainers can restock the food supplies. IIRC, this was a problem in the Yale @ Union OT marathon.

LOL! He is doing a good job. "I gotta work at 5." So yeah, clearly he is anxious. :-D

He has a good radio voice, definitely a pleasant change from the young kids that often do the hockey play-by-play (i.e. Brown). Not too many good radio play-by-by and color commentators around these days.
And he's smart too! I like his idea to boot the Gophers out of the Final Five and send both UMD and SCSU. I can take some "homerism" as long as the Gophers get slammed in the process :).
Putative SCSU goal under review. No Goal by SCSU. Apparently puck hit the post but did not go in.
3rd OT just underway.
The broadcast that keeps on giving. A St. Cloud "goal" scare for the announcer that turned out to be off the post and never in.
Listening to the SCSU feed, their announcers are pretty good too.
"How does he have that instinct in him? He's SHAVED twice since this game started." I like this guy.
He had to remind us. ::rolleyes::
I HATE NODL!!!!!!!!
Andreas Nodl scores for SCSU to end it, SCSU 3, UMD 2.
Thus in the WCHA play-in game on Thursday it will be Wisconsin v. MTU.
Minnesota gets the play-in game winner,
SCSU v. North Dakota.

If the Gophers ever don't make the F5, how will they decide who plays in the late game?
