Just after the PP ended. You guys watching the Q game?
That and the Montreal/Bruins game.

Thanks Marty, We're all over it. =]
Harvard just tied the game at 1, with ~ 1:20 left in the 1st.
I hope Yale can hang in there.

It's a very nice feed.

I hope Union can hang in there as well.

Not a lot going on except for the ice resurfacing...
and the Mrs. Cashman interview
I'm focusing on ECAC games, but if folks want to post updates of non-league score's I'll be happy to add them to the scoreboard in the first post.

Nothing going on is better than the announcer snorting and burping in between periods like he did yesterday night. You could here them talking about quitting smoking, along with other pointless chatter. It was actually pretty comical i guess.
The Minnesota/MTU and Wisconsin/UMD games start at 8 pm, Denver/CC at bit later.
I'll be flipping back and forth between those games and will post updates.
It's a very nice feed.
Sure is. And they're even apologetic about it, calling it a "work in progress," and asking for viewers' feedback about their experiences. Revolutionary concept.
Hideous Q unis.
Hideous Q unis.
Good, I was hoping I wasn't the only one.
Hideous Q unis.
No kidding. I believe it is a 3rd jersey.
QU ties it
QU ties it
You had to have a feeling like that was going to happen. Someone redirected a Cashman point shot. They credit him with the goal for the time being.
Couldn't Q have gone with a larger center-ice logo?
I can barely see it!
Quinny scores on the PP, 1-1 now...credited to Cashman but it might change. U had a lot of problems on PK...couldn't manage to clear the puck.

Yellow should be used very sparingly.
Colgate takes the lead 2-1
Wong sparks a 3-on-1 but Mrazek breaks it up.

yes... gold is so much better.
side note (that isn;t meant to be offensive): it seems most posters on this forum think most jersey's that aren't red and white are ugly (and some that are). Just an observation. I guess it should be that way though... this is a cornell forum.

Looks like a big deertick.
I really like sweden's jerseys. The Q ones look a bit similar, but I think they are more poorly executed.
Q's defensive zone coverage is pretty poor. Too bad Union can't get it in their zone more often.
Dekanich picked up an assist on the 'gate goal.
Sorteberg goal...2-1 Q
Sorteberg scores on the PP...2-1 Q
Another pp goal for Q this time Sorteberg 2-1 lead.

Good idea for a new bye-week topic, btw.
I like a lot of non Red/White jerseys (Dartmouth, Vermont, the CCT jerseys that were worn at Lynah this year), and fwiw, think there are some Red/White jerseys that are quite ugly. UNO, for example.
Yale - Harvard still tied at 1-1 midway through the 2nd period.
Trabucco shoots wide on a 2-on-1 shorthanded breakaway attempt for U...then they draw a penalty, so we're 4x4 now.

I think UNO's jerseys are pretty nice, and the Q jerseys are not that bad. But they do remind me of Mighigan's jerseys a lot, which are nice.
Looked like U was going to get a 5x3, but Bouchard gets called on the dive, so we get 4x3
1-0 Princeton on the PP
Princeton up 1-0 on the pp

Dartmouth's jerseys suck. they have numbers on the front (the eighth deadly sin as far as I am concerned). Colgate, Union and Harvard a few other examples of this.
Vermont's aren't bad, and the Green Tech jersey's are one of my favorite jerseys. Have been for awhile.
UNO's jersey's are ugly, and those Nike things cornell wore in florida should be burned. though it would give me more heckling material if cornell adopted them.
Mrazek keeping U in this game, as he just makes another save on a Q breakaway. U seems to be barely getting any pucks in Q's zone, let alone on net.
That was an interesting non-call on the haul down behind the net.
All just shows everyone has their opinions.
Harvard just scored to go up 2-1 on Yale.
According to NESN Brown has tied it
Yale 1 - Harvard 2 end of the second period.
Wisconsin @ UMD scoreless, still in the first.
Michigan Tech 2 @ Minnesota 1 ~ 7 minutes left in the first.
Union ties it on the PP
Couldn't Q have gone with a larger center-ice logo?

There's a center-ice logo...?
This feed is seriously fantastic. I love the idea of watching Quinnipiac vs. Union hockey in Atlanta for free.
3-2 QU answers
4-2 Wong scores
Union scores 4-3
Did Bitz suit up for Union?
10:38 left in the 3rd. Still 2-1 Harvard and they are going on the PP.
Union ties it up at 4!
Union ties it
Union ties it up at 4!
Q had a traffic jam of PKers in front of Fisher...he couldn't see anything.
Union just tied it. Maybe they do want another marathon OT session. Go skating dutchmen!!
wow union on the pp with a 3 and change to go in regulation
Q-U going to OT...Q had a minute and a half of PP to end regulation but couldn't get it past Mrazek despite numerous shots. U's idea of a PK seems to be letting Q have all the shots they want and hoping Mrazek saves their butt. Makes me appreciate our PK, as lacking as it has been at points this year.
Colgate 4-1 F
Harvard still leading 2-1 less than 1 minute left in the 3rd.
MTU 3 @ Minnesota 1 midway through the 2nd.
Wisconsin @ UMD still scoreless, midway through the 2nd.
It is a Final, Harvard wins 2-1. They finished the game on the PP and Yale had their goalie pulled.
MTU gets another one, and now have a 4-1 lead over the gophers.
Q goes on the powerplay at the beginning of OT; probably will win it here.
Q wins, goes to Ithaca next weekend.
Kyle
And that's it... Quinnipiac will be visiting Cornell next weekend.
QU in another quick OT
Bates on the PP in OT to win it...looks like we'll be getting the Bobcats next weekend at Lynah. Hopefully we'll get a repeat of the last game...but maybe with a few more goals this time ;)
Bring On the Q!
Q goes on the powerplay at the beginning of OT; probably will win it here.
They did, a PPG and they earned a trip to lovely Ithaca, NY.
I do not even think this OT went 1 minute. Bummer.
However, the MTU huskies are lighting up the Gophers, now 5-1.
Are Brown and Princeton in OT?
Q goes on the powerplay at the beginning of OT; probably will win it here.
Maybe it's high time for me to play the lottery ;-)
Nope Princeton won
Are Brown and Princeton in OT?
They were. Princeton wins it. Game 3 tomorrow.
Princeton won early in OT.
"and the Bobcats go wayyyyyyy up north to face Cornell..."
Wonder if any Q fans will make the trip to the frozen tundra of Ithaca...
However, the MTU huskies are lighting up the Gophers, now 5-1.
Go Coach Russell!

North?
I think we will see a good Q crowd. They are building a strong program and have great fans.
Completely 50/50 series coming up.

Unfortunately, Minnesota and MTU are proving that there is no "D" in the Twin Cities this weekend. Gophers get 2 quick goals at the end of the 2nd to make it 5-3.
There is, however, a "D" in Duluth and the Badgers and Bulldogs are still scoreless at the end of 2 periods.
Well, in lieu of a multiple OTs, at least there is a game 3. The Harvard announcers are pulling for Brown.. they do not want to "way up north" and practically into Canada next weekend.
Still down 2 goals with 2:19 left in the 3rd, Minnesota pulls their sieve. They get one goal with 44 seconds left. Now 36.1 seconds left, face-off in the gophers defensive zone. Huskies hang on to win 5-4.
Wisconsin 0 - UMD 0. Final (OT).
14 minutes into the 2nd period CC 5 - Denver 3.

Actually, I was just commenting to a friend today about how I like UNH's jerseys (we were at the BC-UNH game). Also, your spelling of the plural of "jersey" would make Baby Jesus cry if he were a grammar Nazi; and it would make me cry if I were Baby Jesus.
edit: haha, this forum puts the accent on "Baby." Is that to help us spell the player's name, or just an easter-egg shoutout?
This game had quite the exciting ending and Univ. of North Dakota was the real winner.
Denver was down 5-3 with ~2 minutes left (and it was 4 v 4 at the time) and they pulled the goalie. They get a goal with ~ 31 seconds left in the 3rd, and then the game tying goal (also with the goalie pulled) at the 19:56 mark. After the 5 min OT game ends in a tie.
Thus UND finishes 3rd in the WCHA and avoids the Thursday night 4/5 game should they get to the Final Five. Denver gets 4th place and CC 5th. Had Denver won the game, they would have finished 3rd.

Unbelievable ending. Dingle tried to kick a puck towards the net with about 7 seconds left and it ended up in the corner. In desperation a DU turned and fired towards the crease with 4 seconds left, and Dingle was still in position to deflect it short-side with his stick.
This after a rousing "overrated" chant from the Tigers fans with about 3 minutes left. Oops ::doh::
OT but somewhat related to Saturday's Harvard-Yale game at Bright: At the start of the second period, members of the Yale band were waving dollar bills over the glass at the Harvard team as they were skating around in their defensive zone (and yelling something I couldn't quite catch). Does anyone know why? I'm just curious.
The Harvard-Yale game was interesting to watch, but I'm looking forward to this weekend's games--LGR! :-)

They always do that when the ref passes by before the teams come out, chanting "take our money." Sometimes they wave credit cards and chant "take our credit." I've never seen them do it to another team.
