Meaningless, but this (http://www.laxpower.com/update07/binmen/rating01.php) still looks cool.

Wonder if the guys doing this webcast are being considered to replace CSTV next year?
What I don't understand is this whole "facilities limitation" preventing radio. Didn't they broadcast over a cell phone in the stands when the Duke game got moved to an alternate site last year?
Anyone have this feed up yet?
On my Mac, it tells me I don't have WMP. I do, but its not working for some reason.
For anyone else in the same situation, the extracted URL is:
mms://grint2.inetu.net/wmtencoder/sports.wma
(takes a minute to load for me, but it does come up)
Thanks Delta, the direct link worked for me.
When I try that URL, I get a message saying the "specified protocol is not supported." Any ideas?
I have what I think is the feed, but there is no picture. Everyone else in the same boat?
Video looks eh. Stream speed is only 150 kbps. That's a 3rd or less of what most video streams are now a days. And its still rebuffering a fair deal. And it shouldn't be my 3000 kbps DSL :).
But, hey, its free. I'll take it. If they were to charge for it, they'd need to improve their video quality and bandwidth significantly (akamai anyone?). But as possibly a test, I'll take it.
The TV broadcast is nice though (this is just picked up from local tv?).
I've got the feed, really choppy lots of buffering. I think theres a lot more people on it than they expected.
Al, you using WMP 9 or above?
Al, you using WMP 9 or above?
I'm using 11...no good?
redhair, I dunno, I have a Mac so WMP 9 is the highest we get. I should think that 11 is fine, I can't explain your issue.
Might be an interesting test to see if they actually man the tech support (via the 'Contact Us' form) during games.

Yeah I couldn't even get the WMP up in Firefox so I switched over to IE.
Getting only 10 seconds of video at a time is getting really annoying.
I'm running WMP 11. Just sent email to "contact us."
No gametracker, either. Is the game on?
Try opening WMP independently and putting that link in to the "open url" box.
Yeah, Cornell just scored on an EMO to make it 1-1 still first quarter.
any score/time updates for the visually challenged? **]
Edit: thanks!
5:41 left in the first quarter.
Hmmm, commercials... interesting (just announced that its 5:41 left in the first)

I did. Message said the "specified protocol isn't supported." Changed the mms to http and then https and got the same message. Went to the SportsAmerica site and clicked there and it goes from saying "Ready" to "Connecting to media" back to "Ready."

That's good they looked pretty poor on the EMO against Colgate.
Anyone getting it to work on a Windows machine?
I started a game thread to keep the tech stuff apart from the game stuff.

Not yet. I tried opening the url of the feed in WMP and no luck.
And my feed died. Guess I'll end up going to convince kids to come to caltech after all.
Sometimes when I've stopped the video, upon trying to start it back up I get a 'missing file' type of error. After several tries it works. I think we may be, in part, just overwhelming them. It just died on me now and I've gotten several of those errors... still trying...
My feed died too.
I just want to be sure there's no audio...right?
Mine died too

No. I just checked the ND site on the off chance they sent someone. Cornell says that facilities issues prevented a broadcast. I suspect last home basketball game tonight played a role as well.

They ratcheted back the bandwidth to 110 kpbs. But its working.
