When was the last time our ranking in both polls matched our RPI ranking?
When was the last time our ranking in both polls matched our RPI ranking?
Probably towards the end of any of the last few seasons. Eventually the polls all seems to just fall in line with the numbers.
What is this 19th month you speak of? (Sorry, I just hate European notation in an American context.)
What is this 19th month you speak of? (Sorry, I just hate European notation in an American context.)
Besides which, the best format is 2007-02-19, which alphabetizes correctly.

Hmm, the Julian day is 2454150 or 2454151
The GPS time is about 855921614 +/- 43200 (or more, depending on your time zone).
I don't care about the date format. I just want the poll reproduced in a legible state.

If you use the word/abbreviation I don't care which order you put it in. If it's just numbers then it's best to stick to the predominant local ordering.
Threadjacking to demonstrate the relative unimportance of polls.

I recently had a client insist I use "19 Feb 2007" format for a data capture system. His reason was, "It's the international standard."
So I gave him his "19 Feb 2007" format but I did all the month abbreviations in Russian using Cyrillic characters, since it was an international standard and all. ::rolleyes::

Actually in this case, yeah. It sorts into the correct order when using a character by character comparison which is more akin to alphabetization than it is to a numerical sort. That way you can allow whatever standard alphabetical sort routine you've got to operate on the entire date as a string rather than break it down into individual numeric parts.

Well, you could use 2007_02Feb_19 if you didn't mind being redundant. (I used to do that for academic terms, so 2006_1sp_A300 was a course--Physics A300--I taught in Spring 2006.)
