Hey, Bill, you're off to a good start. BTW, who's this Greening kid, anyway? ;-)
Greening nearly pots another midway through the first.
I wonder why no one is talking about how well he's been playing. ;-)
Oh by the way this Greening kid almost nets another.
Speaking of players stringing together some great games, Evan Barlow with another goal!

Cornell going on the PP again. 3rd one tonight. Be a good time to net one here. LGR!!
Way to go, RED!!!
5x3 coming up for Cornell.
I'm glad the powerplay seems to be doing something lately.
What a second that one timer never works on the PP! McCutcheon gave it just enough to get by B.J.
That would be 3 goals on 7 shots to this point.
McCutcheon!!!
Edit: McCutcheon makes that 4 in 8!
NICE! Mc again!

we need an independent review of a game to see just how far off the shot totals are.. does anyone think we were outshot in the first period last night?

(No longer at Stanford, by the way...took a new job last August)[/quote]Hi Tom.
So I switched to YES to see the Big Red cagers. It was like 25-25 and then Penn goes on something like a 20-5 to knock Cornell back. Penn 40-30 at the half. Can you woof just by turning on a TV set?
It's probably parallel facts, not cause and effect, but as more Big Red players go down with injuries and illness, our defense stiffens and the offense kicks into overdrive again. Of course, one period does not a game make.
My bad. Should have known that you meant the first meeting against RPI. Then I would have known there was sarcasm added. ::smashfreak::
Maybe every time CSTV goes down, Princeton gets off a flurry of shots we never saw.

Add an assist to MacIntyre on the Princeton goal.
Bitz? again!!!!

If this were wrestling, we'd be on the verge of a major decision.
Bill's probably going to at least one of the games. Maybe we should bribe him to do the game threads instead.

Not that Schafer is thinking of this, but if Davenport stays and plays a solid third period, he's got a chance to be on the ECAC honor roll. Plus it makes the other teams think we've found a goaltender and a defense.

Chris, I meant McKee as in (generically; I believe it was McKee) one of the previous goalies who had a string of shutout minutes ... or back to back shutouts ... or approaching the 10th shutout of his career or the most season shutouts for a Cornell goalie ... the radio announcers mentioned he had only a few more minutes to go to attain the mark, and then milliseconds later the shutout evaporated. The point being there is no woofing god force field that takes what happens on the airwaves or on eLynah and affects play on the ice. While we hold it bad karma to mention these things here, the radio is a different thing. I am of the minority opinion on this.

Just a random fact in case anyone cares -- McKee's longest shutout streak at Cornell was 159 minutes and 27 seconds. He also had one of 158 minutes and 47 seconds.
Not technically a shutout streak but he also didn't give up a goal in over 154 minutes last year from the first period of the CC game to...well you know.
