Title: Injuries
Post by: LeTs gO rEd_14 on December 01, 2002, 08:15:16 PM
I got to the game a little bit late so I missed most of 1st period...but I saw some blood on Doug Murray's jersey. Someone next to me said he got hit in the face really bad. I also saw him get banged up a lot in the 2nd and 3rd period. Is he injured? I didn't see him play that much towards the end of the game. What happend in the 1st period?

I also saw Charlie Cook walking around...off of his crutches. Does anyone know when he will be back?

LET'S GO RED

ps: shorty has a temper:-D

Murray got a high stick under his mask and apparently got cut. . .nothing to worry about, he's a hockey player, he'll be fine.

"Shorty has a temper."

Ohhhh, is that what they were chanting when the 5'5" guy took a swing at Murray??  It was hard to make out on the webcast.

FYI:

12  Zancanaro, Brad, F, Fr   5-5   159

. . .yup, he's as close to an elf as you are ever going to see in D1 hockey.

On the pregame, Coach said Cook is day to day. They thought he might be back this weekend but he had some pain skating Wednesday, so they hope next weekend.

Yeah-right. . .maybe with his skates on! The BU roster on USCHO says he's 5-5 159. He is however a true freshman, born in 1984.

p.s. here's a little (pun intended) cheer we came up with at the game:

"Hey Brad: You're not a player, you're a midget. . .You're not a midget, you're a dwarf. . .You're not a dwarf, you're a munchkin. . .You're not a munchkin, YOU JUST SUCK!"

It was "Toss the Midget."  As in midget tossing.  Midget bowling came up last night, but no cheer for it though.

On an injury-related note, two of my friends sitting in section H said that after Murray took a hit,  he went up to the linesman and clearly said "What about my fucking head?" at which the linesman gave him a shrug  ::nut::
