Title: Swept Away
Post by: Trotsky on February 06, 2007, 03:23:47 PM
SLU swept Cornell in this year's ECAC RS pair.  This has been very rare in Schafer's tenure as coach.

Year Opponent (Lynah, Road)

97 Clarkson (1-3, 2-5)
98 RPI (3-4, 5-7)
98 St. Lawrence (3-4, 2-3)
98 Union (0-1, 2-4)
98 Yale (1-2, 0-11)
99 Clarkson (1-4, 2-6)
99 Yale (1-2, 2-4)
00 Colgate (2-4, 0-4)
00 Dartmouth (2-3, 2-3)
01 St. Lawrence (3-6, 2-3)
02 Dartmouth (0-1, 3-5)
04 Colgate (0-2, 1-2)
07 St. Lawrence (1-2, 1-4)

132 possible series in Schafer's 12 years (12x11).  1 cancelled due to Elephant Walk.  6 incomplete from this season.  So, out of 125 series in Schafer's tenure, Cornell has been swept just 13 times.

Just for grins, number of sweeps:

7 Brown
4 Clarkson
3 Colgate
2 Dartmouth
5 Harvard
6 Princeton
1 Quinnipiac
3 RPI
3 St. Lawrence
5 Union
4 Yale
4 Vermont
