Alright. Now that it is intermission and I won't miss any of the game, I will go ahead and start this since no one else has.
I am deliberately not doing the game thread. I take full responibility for the winless streak. Considering that we're playing great tonight, it appears to be working.

That's partly why I didn't start the thread. I'm not that good at it. Trotsky is more concise and yet provides more info.
So far the team is playing with a lot of energy. Other than a little bit in the 2nd, play has been almost entirely in the Colgate end with Cornell getting the majority of the shots. Both teams are hitting well. Many of the Cornell shots have come from outside of the face-off circles, but Dekanich has also been pretty solid.
The Colgate goal came from a bad angle to Scrivens' left. The puck went five hole and deflected in off of his right leg pad.
I forgot who took the initial shot, but the Cornell goal came off of a hard slapshot that went wide right of the goal, deflected off of the boards behind the net, and came back out to Carefoot standing on the left post. Mitch was able to jam it home before Dekanich could get over.
After the Cornell goal, the team completely dominated the rest of the 2nd period with a strong forecheck that was making it tough for Colgate to change lines.
The penalty kill has been solid and the powerplay looks better even though they haven't had anything to show for it yet.
Cornell PP early in 3rd
Romano robbed on only good chance.
Quote of the day:
"Kind of hard to call it a powerplay when there isn't much power behind it"
-TWCNY announcer
And yet again we fail to get a PPG.
Maybe that's why the 2nd period looked so good. There was only one penalty and it was on us.
Be nice. Our first two powerplays looked great. Not so much since then.
According to Gametracker, Scott and Gallagher are 17-2 on faceoffs.
You're right about this game. I was referring more to the season in general.
Penalty-Nash. Holding behind our net.
9:12 left in 3rd
I want to see some fights... with lots of DQ's in cornell...
Milo with a nice SH break to get a face-off in the Colgate zone.
Killed No shots for two kills.
MILO!!!
Come D, hang on tight for six more minutes.
3 13:38 Cor Milo 2 (Glover 1, Scott 16)
Milo pokes home the rebound!
That was a really beautiful goal. Perfect set, finally a good rebound, and Milo with the conversion. Great job for the guys!
Damn. Penalty Krantz drove Bogdanich headfirst into the boards with about 4:47 left.
Followed by another stupid penalty.::scream::
4:37 left, and we are back on the PK, Krantz 2 for cross-checking.
Kill Red Kill.
5:00 Dumb! Dumb! Dumb!
Won't end it on a goal so for the rest of the game.
Announcers think should have been 2:00.
5 minutes?!!!!!!
They were both jostling along the boards before the cross-check, it is not like Krantz took a run at him.
Dek out 10.8 left with a face off.
Very impressive kill, all night, but especially this last 4 minutes. One more draw and clear. Please, guys. You have earned it tonight.
Face-off outside of the zone. Added 3 seconds for about 14.
TO Colgate
Thanks be to God!::banana::
Thats the type of Penalty Kill that could turn around a season. Or at least, I really hope it does.
BIG ::banana:: WIN!
Amazing finish. Dug deep to win this one. Let's hope it carries over.
Wow!!! An awesome PK. Great job by the everyone, especially the forwards hustling to the boards to get that puck out over the blueline. Great job.
So, next weekend, no game thread until the 2nd intermission, right :)?
A great win for Mike to get his landmark number! ::burnout::

You'll have to work it out amongst yourselves, I'll actually be attending the games.
But I have now officially retired from game threads. To you, from failing hands, we throw the torch. Be yours to hold it high.
Wow!!! They sure deserved that. Finally broke the streak of outplaying teams (Yale, last Colgate game) and having nothing to show for it.
2-3 shots allowed on penalty kill for two 2-min and one 5-min penalties with all shots during the 5 at the end of the game.
Nothing but hustle all night long. Let's hope this is indicative of things to come.
Schafer #1 at Cornell! ::banana::
YAY we won!!!!
