Davenport replaced by Scrivens at 9:41 of period 2 -- 4 saves on 6 shots.
Which is a good thing; I could make my lunch. Now sitting on my lanai, with a nice view of the west end of Maui and the gentle rolling waves of the channel between Maui, Molokai and Lanai.
Aloha! and Let's Go Red!

Aloha. My wife's trying to convince me to go to Hawaii this summer. I've never been. What am I missing?
Carefoot off, Colgate powerplay. Kill, Red, kill!
So much for our PK picking up again.
Colgate scores on the pp. Burton. 1-0.
power play goal by colgate... 1-0 toothpaste...
never thought I would say it but LGR!
never thought I would say it
"Jooooooin us, joooooooin us..." ::demented::
Power Play, Cornell!
Sounds like Sawada barely missed.
Penalty killed.
BTW, if we lose tonight, I'm retiring from starting game threads. I'm something like 2-6 this year.
Very true... Topher skated it down and passed it off. Sawada had it and the rebound was right in front of the net. No Cornell guy, or even Colgate guy there for a little, then it was knocked out.
Great try by Cornell.

You watching on Empire?
Empire?
I'm watching the Time Warner Cable feed...
Shots: 10-1
Faceoffs: 12-2
Score: 0-1
Huh?
time for the un-productive cornell powerplay to show its stuf...
Empire?

That's what I meant.
time for the un-productive cornell powerplay to show its stuf...
You can't make fun of our pledges. Only we can make fun of our pledges.
pretty good first period by Cornell. We had some great chances, but nothing to show of it. Let's hope we come out ready in the second!
2nd period is underway.
Let's go red!
Anybody get the shots for the first period?
14-3 cornell...
'Gate goes on the PK
Uh, oh. Cornell on power play.
great chance by cornell on the PP...
14-3 cornell...
Amazing. I seem to recall discussing in the beginning of the year that it was okay we'd be allowing 3 goals per game because we'd be scoring 5.
Well, we got half of it right.
Uh oh again, this time a penalty on Cornell - Sawada.
5 seconds of 5 on 3, in 'Gate's favor.
Nash joins Sawada...
and a second goal for Colgate.
Cornell's gotta pull it together now!
Colgate 2x3 on PP now. ouch! By McIntire. Here comes Scrivens. Davenport 4x6 on saves.
Scrivens now in goal.
I think ari is probably screaming at schafer right now...
Power Play number 4 for Cornell!
0x4.
22-6.
Just had a great attempt by Cornell, shot and rebound.
Cornell finally gets a good scoring chance, but Dekanich makes the save.
This begins to become frustrating.
you guys just got robbed
Another power play for Cornell.
Dekanich's best friend just screwed cornell
Goal. Sieve. Post
Power kill Cornell.
1:26 left.
corresponding penalties.
GOALL!!!!!!!!
Krantz. Now 2-1 at 19:40 of the second. Assist Scott and ___?
Dekanich's best friend just screwed cornell
His gerbil?
Wow. What a great way to end the second period. Let's use that momentum from Krantz and get on top!
Yeah!
Hopefully, this momentum will carry over into the 3rd. As Jason just said it is Colgate's worst period, and we tend to "wake up a bit" n the 3rd, correct?
LGR!
Thank you, Doug!
Too bad 'Gate gets the intermission to regroup, but they've sucked big time in the third period this year (outscored 33-17).
is it just me, or does Krantz always seem to get big goals? THe game Winner at Harvard last year, the game Tieing goal at fish anf fowl this year, the possible (::knocks on all the wood he can find:: ) momentum changer in here.
And credit has to go to Doug for the shot, but alot must go to Romano on that goal. Wonderful job drawing the colgate defenders to him then feathering the perfect pass cross ice.
announcers just gave our band props for playing Pinball Wizard.
shots were 24-8

Tony has quietly snuck up in ECAC freshman scoring per game. He has 10 points in 11 games (.91 pts/gp). Wong is insane (1.50 -- leading the entire league for all classes), but everybody else is within reach.
Cornell pp #5 coming up, maybe. Might be a GM.
Taylor Davenport was just boarded, and is on the ice.
Colgate's Riley has a 5 minute major and a game misconduct for checking from behind.
Davenport is now slowly skating back.
Well. I do believe this is what is called The Turning Point.
Taylor Davenport down on the ice, but slowly getting up. Hopefully it is not anything serious, and just the wind knocked out of him.
Cornell has a 5 min PP. Ok guys, here's your chance.....
now 27-9 in shots.
Halfway through. Nuttin'.
GOAL!!
'Cutch!
you guys just got robbed
Happens twice a year when you guys pay tuition.
YES!!! TIED UP!
And a leaping Topher! (I'd like to see that). Good thing no "excessive celebration" penalty.
Still 2:08 left on the PP

Only once for me -- April 15. But it hurts a lot more.
Cornell has taken a timeout with 52 seconds left on the power play

See JSID and search for Kyle's posts :).
Cornell takes a TO.
Back to full strength.
Great power play by Cornell
Colgate pp.
Damn.
Cornell penalty.
Kill red kill!
AMAZING save by Scriven's behind his back.
Scrivens big save on Winchester, who has been a pain all night.
Uggh.
Here we go, let's tie it up, again
Scrivens just got caught on his ass...
Another power play for Cornell!
Sawada with good positions draws the hold.
Dekanich with some big saves on the Cornell PP.
Damn, sounded like Bitz was perched perfect if there had been a rebound.
Scrivens just robbed winchester on the breakaway
Oh wow. Breakaway Colgate, saved, rebound looked like it was in, but was not. Great save by Scrivens.
Here's another Cornell Powerplay!
Scrivens stones Winchester on the shorty breakaway.
Cornell pp #9 coming up.
Bitz with a chance, but save by Dekanich.
My sporadic (but free) wifi goes out, and Colgate scores. I guess the superstitious among us would say "don't try to listen on Saturday".
Cornell back on the PP. 2 for 9 would be nice right now.
Tony oh so close.
33-13 in shots.
How much time is left in the game?
About 7 minutes.
5:25. Even strength.
1 for 9 on the PP.
5:07. 'Gate TO.
1 for 9 on the PP.
Combined with 'Gate 3x6, Cornell burrows ever-more comfortably into last place in net special teams.
4:02
3:05
2:32
4x4.
4x4
Barlow and Anderson (high stick) go off for matching minors, though according to Jason, Barlow got pushed into the goalie (or charged into accordin to the ref).
1:32 left
Scrivens out. :53, faceoff in Gate end.
Shots 34-10
Shots 34-15
Shots 34-15
Time out Colgate.
Empty net for Cornell.
Bitz penalty!!!! Very, very stupid.
DAMNN
4-2
Empty net goal
Colgate with an ENG with 1 second left.
4-2 final.
Ugghh.
Cornell was dominating most of the game. Great attempt, for most of the game. Let's hope we can dominate, and come out on top, on Saturday.
Let's Go Red!!
