Title: Trading in sandals for snow boots?
Post by: ajec1 on December 30, 2006, 09:24:55 PM
While multi-tasking to the extreme (listening to the CU-Maine game, flipping between Giants, Gopher hockey and the Peach Bowl), they had the director of the Mariucci/Dodge Holiday Classic on. He said that they have filled the tournament through 2010 and that Cornell was one of the teams that would come to the Great White North at some point. Of course, there is nothing but this guy's word to go off of (and his hair-gel-to-brain-cell ratio appeared to be off the charts), but it appears our relationship to Estero could be coming to a close.

Or perhaps just a year off, as the prime mover behind the Florida tourney is a Cornell alumnus.

Then again, I have no idea whether the tourney is profitable.  They may decide to bring in the Ice Stravaganza instead.  Alert Oglethorp.

We have some much more serious OOC schedules coming up in the next few years with renewing the BU relationship, starting one with UNH, and heading out to Minnesota now.
