Can anyone in the Ithaca area give us any info from the pregame show?
The UNH feed is up
Pregame show from Ithaca did not begin until 7:20. Dan Glover should be playing. The only personnel change
Pregame show from Ithaca did not begin until 7:20. Dan Glover should be playing. The only personnel change
Great...did you happen to catch who the odd man out is?
Not yet mentioned. Davenport in goal.
Umile just said that UNH has committed to a home and away with Cornell ... that would be interesting.
Murphy is the ref.
scali-kennedy-carefoot
nash-seminoff
davenport
National Anthem being done in "Tammy Faye Baker Crack Whore" rendition.
"murphy" could be any one of three people ... WHICH murphy?
so scali is in ... who is out?
milo is odd man out (according to gametracker)
UNH almost scored couple of seconds in
pp coming up
Cornell PP (holding on UNH)
unh penalty
John Murphy
Cornell Scores!!! 1-0!!!
SCORE!!!! SAWADA!!!
2:38 sawada, from gallagher and romano
Sawada?
gametracker says Romano
Announced as Sawada - just off the toe and over Regan.
pa announcer said sawada ... so did jason, for what that's worth
McCutcheon penalty... UNH PP
Kill Red Kill
Penalty on McCutcheon
Another Cornell penalty! UNH 5x3 for 41 seconds
It's not a Cornell game if we're not skating 5x3...
It's not a Cornell game if we're not skating 5x3...
UNH announcers didn't see the penalty
My game cast audio is not working, how are you guys getting the audio?
Cheers
13:42 unh penalty
5x3 killed, UNH penalty 4x4 for 1:15

elbowing unh
Elbowing against UNH
"this referee is going to call everything today"--welcome to the ECAC
Gametracker says 1-0 "Corm."
"1st" unit continues to struggle
Thanks!
From the USCHO board...
"Cats kill the penalties... 5x5 right now... someone get a picture of this!"
LOL
Lots of solid checking by UNH. Good game so far -- both teams hitting and pinching in.
Btw the Dartmouth/North Dakota game live video is on CN8's site here - http://cn8.tv/channel/article.asp?lArticleID=4664&lChannelID=604&subhead=cn8live
gametracker changed the first goal
Sawada from Romano and Gallagher
why is weinstein interviewing the maine play-by-play announcer in the middle of the period?
now he's puffing the everblades ... while play is going on
All Access still doesn't think the game has begun...
Because he's no Roy Ives or Grady Wittenberg.
fight! Greening and some UNH player, no penalties called.
UNH announcer: "just hockey players being hockey players."
1:27 left ... another UNH penalty
We need to cash in
6 power play chances for Cornell in the first period ... insane
Given the number of UHN penalties, we should have more than one. Hope Murphy doesn't try to "even it up."
and the period ends
Woot. Whoa Cornell kept UNH to only 2 shots on goal!
"My Old Cornell"
Report from a friend at the arena on Cornell's new Nike jerseys. They are just a solid color with the traditional lettering. They however don't have the normal horizontal stripes and do have the hideous vertical stripes that all of them have had.
Apparently the jerseys are just prototypes to see if the players like the feel of them. If they do like them, they will be made later with the designs of the teams' liking.
I'd love to see the new Nike-Bauer UNH jersyes. Are we the only team not wearing new ones?
We are one of the 9 teams, in Estero, FL only WMU doesn't have them.
Cornell hooking penalty against Romano
Holding call on Nash. 5x3 for 27secs
"Boy, they defend strongly with a two-man disadvantage." hee hee
UNH announcers highly complimentary of the aggressiveness of the Cornell kill.
UNH with lots of chances but Cornell kills the penalty! Phew.
The PK is clicking tonight. ::innocent::
McCutcheon penalty for tripping. WTF Murphy is just calling one team per period.
Quote from: GadsdenI'd love to see the new Nike-Bauer UNH jersyes.
Is this the jersey you want to see?

Looks like he is.
PP goal by UNH 1-1. Crap!
UGH UNH scores McFlicker on PP
12:46 Carefoot from Nash ... forecheck by Kennedy / Carefoot / Greening line ... nasty line to play against
NASH!!!! 2-1!!! Actually, a Carefoot tip so Nash gets the assist.
The UNH call was that Nash had the great rush and Carefoot had his stick down and just angled it in.
LGR!
Cornell Roughing againt Scott. UNH PP
shouldn't scott roughing be just a one-minute penalty?
it should be more like tripping.
shouldn't scott roughing be just a one-minute penalty?
An oxymoron.
sawada elbowing
And there's the fifth in a row against Cornell... all is right with the world.
penalty killed. And murphy calls another penalty on Cornell elbowing on Sawada.
A rope, a tree, hang the referee.

Hope Murphy doesn't try to "even it up."
Maybe it's "even" now.::innocent::
if you're not going to complain when he calls five in a row for you, don't complain when he calls five in a row against you
Carefoot misses a breakaway shorty
Oh he just evened it up, which is fine. He's been bad both ways.
4x4 for two minutes.
if you're not going to complain when he calls five in a row for you, don't complain when he calls five in a row against you
So show me where I "complained?" There's a difference between an observation and a complaint.
Penalty on Barlow? UNH PP
That's an awful goal to give up.
UNH scores. 2-2
not you al ... omie
not you al ... omie
OK. I missed his posting.
And that's an even more awful goal for UNH to give up.
SCORE! Regan coughs it up and Sawada puts it home.
WOOOHHOOOO!!
Cornell scores to make it 3-2 at 19:25
Mark of a good team: answer a goal immediately. ::panic::

Already said he was calling it too close both ways, my critique wasn't so much for the # of straight penalties but due to calling one not even 1/2 a second after having killed one.
So there goes Wisconsin's chance for a nice 2nd half run.
Nice to hear the alma mater over the webcast. :-)
Already said he was calling it too close both ways, my critique wasn't so much for the # of straight penalties but due to calling one not even 1/2 a second after having killed one.
and this is a problem because ... why? if it's a penalty, it's a penalty
North Dakota and Dartmouth tied at 1 in the 3rd.
Clarkson over Wisconsin 3-1 in the 2nd!
Go ECAC(HL)

Don't know whether it falls on Murphy or the league, but this number of penalties (fourteen minors in forty minutes) really makes a mockery of the game.
No need to get into an argument. The call seemed to come out of nowhere, even the UNH announcers did not know what was going on. Happy holidays.
third period under way
Here's an article about how the ECACHL officiating has been whack compared to the rest of the leagues.
Seven UNH powerplays in a row...
Clarkson now up 4-1 on the national champs.
And UND leads Dartmouth 3-1
Bitz hits the post!!!!
Bitz shoots and hits the post. oh so close.
goalie, sieve, post ... BITZ dings one
Greening!!!!
Greening!!!
colin greening from ray sawada
Greening!
Off of a steal. UNH announcers had just commented on how hard Cornell was working.
unh timeout
Some very had work pays off. Cornell intercepted and held the puck in the UNH zone three times before Greening got the goal.
Some very had work pays off. Cornell intercepted and held the puck in the UNH zone three times before Greening got the goal.
Similar in that respect to the earlier Carefoot goal.
....folks..someone please tell us ...how much time is left...thanks
now we see what our young guys have learned about protecting a lead
9 minutes and something
now 7
7:04 to go
6:43, shot, save by Davenport, faceoff.
Cornell solid on faceoffs so far:
Kennedy 8-7
Gallagher 8-4
Scott 8-3
Mugford 6-3
5:33
LGR!

And nice that two guys haven't had to take 80% of the faceoffs. Especially nice given those "two guys" graduated last May.
Under 4:30 to go
3:10 to go faceoff in UNH end
3:20 What he said.
3:10 to go Lets go RED
i cannot get the feed to work in IE 7 or firefox :(
topher draws a penalty
2:44, Cornell pp, UNH fans leaving for the bars.
cornell timeout
UNH giving Cornell TONS of credit over on USCHO::rolleyes::
2:44, Cornell pp, UNH fans leaving for the bars.
the game is in florida...don't u mean bingo not bars? :)
LGR!
who creates the stats for gametracker?? just wondering how shots on the main page are 26-18 in favor of Cornell, yet the power play stats show UNH with 26 shots on the power play? perhaps one is shots and one is shots on goal? in any case it seems we shut UNH down pretty good on non PP situations.
empty net ... unh penalty

Romano scores!!!
5-2 final.
We can skate with anyone in the country!
impressive win ... schafe ties bertrand ... go red!
if this team learns how to stay out of the penalty box they can indeed skate with anyone..

Definitely need to have Troy in there somewhere. I'd put him at #1. The two goals really shouldn't have been allowed to happen at all. The first one came after a bad icing non-call, and the second one came after a terrible "instigating" call against Cornell.

The second one was also in off Taylor Davenport's skate, so there's not much Troy could have done about it.
