Nothing yet on the video feed for me.
Nothing yet on the video feed for me.
"Not yet started." Audio feed has vague off-mic noises but no broadcast.
The RPI feed is fine, as always. Who has the better Eng program, again?
I'm glad you don't have to sit through the same 30 second commercial every time you want to reload to check if the feed has started. Whew!
I'm glad you don't have to sit through the same 30 second commercial every time you want to reload to check if the feed has started. Whew!
We're going to be able to recite the Loch Ness commercial from memory, soon.
The RPI feed is fine, as always. Who has the better Eng program, again?
Well, apparently, our Athletic Department is too stupid to realize that we have an engineering program adequate enough to do a MUCH better job than an organization such as CSTV.

I was joking. I know our people can do a better job than CSTV, considering that there are IHS students who could do a better job than CSTV.

Don't forget the "tastes like chicken" truckzilla commercial, although I am partial to Nessy.
I was joking.
I know. But a combination of $2 happy hour pints and a general inherent bitterness about the situation as I mull over what to write about All-Access per Jim's request put that out. I guess it's better that I get that out here than in my polite letter.
Cornell audio up.
Anybody have all-access video?

Don't you think "Shoooot it, Shooot it" from that commericial would make a nice chant for our PP?
I kid, I kid.
Some-Access Audio, no video for me.
Audio, just went dead.. problem with going to commercial?
I'll put the RPI feed on the other computer. AUUGGHHH. (yes, Jim, I'll write that email).

I googled "Adrian Shine" while I waited once again for the video not to load. Evidently, he (http://www.lochnessproject.org/) is a real Nessie researcher. ::burnout::
Game on, audio only for CU.
Don't you think "Shoooot it, Shooot it" from that commericial would make a nice chant for our PP?
Well it wouldn't be the first time we've heard that shouted from the stands.;-)
Early Cornell power play on a high stick.
I'm surprised in all the past weeks nobody ever mentioned the "sounds-so-smug-and-cocky-I'd-like-to-punch-him-in-the-face" guy who tells you that the event has not yet begun.
Carefoot on point on unit one.
Taylor Davenport got mentioned. He's not in the Gametracker lineup. Something is amiss.
Never mind. Taylor is in Gametracker; I even posted him. ;-)
Taylor Davenport got mentioned. He's not in the Gametracker lineup. Something is amiss.
I believe Salmela is sitting tonight, and Scali is the 13th forward.
Hooking on Cornell. RPI to the PP now.
Who's the ref?
Who's the ref?
Alex Dell.
Hooking on RPI. Cornell PP in 13 seconds.
CU on powerplay again.
Strange goings on, All-Access video still not up.
But Cornell to the PP
And now Cornell to it's 2nd PP.
Even strength.
Strange goings on
Over four thousand people claim to have actually seen something at Lynah Rink. Yet, when All-Access is applied...
Cornell video is up.
Video finally, for anyone curious.
Red Back to the powerplay.
And the obstruction conga line continues...
Video finally, for anyone curious.
Is that part of the show?
Video now up. Switch over at your leisure. Enjoy the ad...
Even strength.
...and they still suck!
I guess you can say sucks.
Can it be--as Gametracker says--there are only three shots on goal at the halfway mark of the period?
Looks like hitting from behind on us.
RPI to the powerplay. Borderline call according to the RPI announcers.
Looked like it was shoulder to shoulder, but he went into the boards awkwardly, and the Jason also said it was a "dangerous hit." Although, I don't know if that's agreeing with the penalty.
that was fast
RPI scores.
Too easy, he walked right into the slot and received the pass.
Anybody else have issues when they try to transfer the picture to a television monitor? Everything on my computer screen shows up on the TV except for the box with the hockey video.
Same thing happened last year occasionally, and I don't recall if there was anything special that I did to fix it.
Hook on Seminoff. RPI pp #3 coming up.
Another Red penalty.
Better kill this one.
5x3. Happy happy joy joy.
Dumb, dumb, dumb hockey.
First big save of the night goes to Davenport.
First big save of the night goes to Davenport.
Kept that rebound away from RPI.
Big clear by McCutcheon. RPI time out... interesting.
fuck
Another RPI goal. 0-2.
Chalkboard play is right.
Wow
wtf. Wayne state all over again.
3-0
Didn't see that penalty coming.
time to think about locking the medicine cabinet....
Yet another really bad first period. This will be a gut check game -- Cornell needs to salvage a point, here. I have no idea how they can do that when they have no powerplay and no kill, and 75% of the game is going to be 5x4.
This is genuinely disheartening. They've been poor 3.5 times in the last 5 outings.
craptacular
I think I'm better off watching that commercial.
But seriously, I'd expect to see someone step up and try and do something. Anything to fire this team up, because there seems to be nothing right now.
Right now a Cornell PP just takes 2 minutes off the clock, and the PK just adds another goal. That needs to change fast for this to mean points tonight.
Fuck you All-Access...
Excuse me.
Another RPI penalty.
Fuck you All-Access...
Excuse me.
No need to excuse yourself. I think that is a most appropriate comment for when the video feed drops at the start of the 2nd period, especially when Cornell has a PP.
This will be the PP where something happens for a change.
See
Carefoot!
3-1!
carefoot!!!
See
Yep, you called it.
wtf just happened?
Another Cornell PP coming...
wtf just happened?
Cornell pp.
Delayed call on RPI.
Carefoot goal.
ANOTHER call on RPI...
Pity powerplays for everybody!
Or just Cornell
Well, that Cornell chance sounded close. I wish there was a video feed I could pay to receive.
Oh, wait...
Well, that Cornell chance sounded close. I wish there was a video feed I could pay to receive.
Oh, wait...
Did they ever say how many periods you were paying for?
Cornell 1x7 on pp so far.
Class-action suit anyone?
Class-action suit anyone?
How about we try Jim Hyla's idea first?
On the bright side I was able to check the video and then switch back to the radio without listening to a commercial.
Cornell outshooting RPI 10-3 this period. Pot another, lads.
And the RPI women are leading Cornell 7-2 late in the 2nd. ::banana::
Oh boy... Scrivens warming up and Troy not putting weight on his leg.
And the RPI women are leading Cornell 7-2 late in the 2nd. ::banana::
Ours are cuter.
(I have no idea, actually... the only RPI alumna I know is a knockout.)
Brown 3 SLU 0, late 2nd.
Have I said dumb, dumb, dumb hockey yet?
Scrivens in as Barlow heads to the box. Davenport's injury must be bothering him.
and another 5x3 opportunity for RPI
On the bright side I was able to check the video and then switch back to the radio without listening to a commercial.
How? How? Please tell. I am willing to settle for small victories like this.
Anybody check video?
Have I said dumb, dumb, dumb hockey yet?
If there's a stat for the minutes we've endured 5x3, I want to see it.
On second thought, I don't.
And now an RPI penalty, as Alex Dell campaigns for first star of the game.
And now an RPI penalty, as Alex Dell campaigns for first star of the game.
How? If there's a roughing call at the side of the RPI net, I want it called.

I was wondering how many minutes have been played 5 v 5. Certainly not as many as I have spent on hold with CSTV.
5-min major on Eizenman. OK, Cornell... now or never.
Who got hit?
Well, I can't seem to get the free audio from WRPI going, and I'm not paying for All-Craptacularaccess. Plus I don't seem to have a working Chat client anymore.
So I'll just sit here drinking a beer and relying on you people to describe the horrible imagery of our team going down in flames.
So I'll just sit here drinking a beer and relying on you people to describe the horrible imagery of our team going down in flames.
Over Macho Grande?
Video is back up in time for the ice cleaning ::banana::

You may want to try both of RPI's feeds, the Real and the Windows Media one. I found that in the past, the Windows Media tended to have a limit on number of connections, but the Real one was always available.

I did - RealOne said there was some component missing or other.
But the limit on the number of connections would explain the WMP one failing to connect.
I'm told that the 3rd is starting up right now, with 3 minutes left on the major to RPI.
I'm told that the 3rd is starting up right now, with 3 minutes left on the major to RPI.
The info is good then.
Seminoff on the point as we begin the third period.
1x10, with a 5-minute pp. This is brutal.
Apropos of nothing, I'm also IMing with Brian, my former drummer, who runs the board at WHCU for the games. Kind of a surreal way of getting the lowdown.
Bitz scores, 5x5!!!
Good rush there.
Goalie, Sieve, Post!
Great 4x4 work by Cornell there.
Strong rush from Romano draws a tripping penalty.
Nice one on one by Romano there draws a penalty.
11th times a charm?
Nope...
I'm told about 4 minutes left in the third.
Big powerplay here.
Bitz draws a penalty.
That's awful
...and a call on Cornell ends the PP. :-/
Gooooooallllll
SCOTT TIES IT UP!!
Now to kill the power play.
Sawada!
Scott!
Bitz!
We want more!
CTH roughing going into OT for RPI
Can we arrange to start games in the second period?
What can you say but... wow.
Let's Go Red!!!!
Can we arrange to start games in the second period?
I think that's kind of what we've been doing.
Wow, there are no words
Davenport with a big save. RPI feed going down now.
Just lost the RPI feed.

Can we arrange to start games in the second period?
All-Access too.
Wow, there are no words
That may be so, but that's not very helpful to people who use the game thread to follow the action. :-)
Good thing RPI plays dumb, too.
It's a tie.

You know I keep thinking that after I hit post message. Kind of like Cornell keeps remembering the game's started after Schafer gives it to them during the 1st intermission.
Just lost the RPI feed.
Hah you cheapskate. I watched it on Almost-Access.
On the one hand, 3-0 after the first period, great comeback, guys.
On the other hand, 1x13 on pp including a 5-min major.
On the third hand... lucky, Lucky, LUCKY. But luck is part of a good season. Let's just hope they stop digging such deep holes that they need luck to dig their way out.
RPI to the powerplay. Borderline call according to the RPI announcers.
The kid threw himself into the boards.
