I love Cornell hockey, so this is a comment meant to help.
In the third period, on a power play I watched our offense pass the puck around with the intent of having Byron Bitz make the shot. I quickly recognized it from the stands, so I am sure Darmouth's coach and players figured it out after the second pass and look by Bitz. Each time that Bitz received a pass from a teammate he took an extra second to set his feet for the shot, telegraphing his intent. So, we skated and passed the puck around for a minute or two, not even making a shot before the puck was cleared by Dartmouth.
Dear Mike, This year you have SPEED and SHOOTERS. You are a great defensive coach, now it's time to step up and utilize your team's strengths and become a great offensive coach too.
I watched my first Cornell Hockey game in 1969 and I hope to watch for another 20 years.
