Clearly, Harvard's non-playing has finally affected its standing in the polls.
I love how the best team in our conference supposedly is worse than the top 3 in the other 3 major conferences. ECAC gets as much respect as tom brady.;-)

Not a good idea to use the phrase "FF loss" on this board. Let's be more careful with our acronyming.
Fantasy Football.

How long ago was the NCAA tournament last won by an ECAC team?
Yeah.
Respect is earned, and there's a reason why the ECAC(hl) is presumed weaker in these kinds of polls. It's up to our teams to put up the results to prove them wrong, and then we'll (rightly) be accorded more respect.
This is why I'm encouraged by programs like Quinnipiac kicking ass, and by RPI and Yale getting rid of old, tired, ineffective coaches: the day a .750 ECAC(hl) winning percentage is no longer considered a bad year for Cornell will be the day that the ECAC(hl) finally becomes more nationally competitive.
There are still a few more coaches that have to go, though. Grillo is currently at the top of my list: Brown has sucked for far too long.

This may come back to bite me, but when is the last time 3 CCHA teams went further in the NCAAs than all of the ECAC?

I don't know either.
But even if your implication is correct, it is like measuring a yard in feet, finding it comes out to a whole number, and using that example to express outrage that people insist on using those wacky "meters" to express length when ".9144 meters" is so inelegant: you are measuring something that no one cares about.
If you care about the level of respect the press and other conferences' fans and coaches give us, then you have to remedy it by either changing what they think is important or by getting your conference to do better according to their metrics. Good luck on the first one. ;)

It may have taken 24 years, but FINALLY somebody has used the "yard-measured-in-feet-but-rounded-so-insist-on-meters" simile that I've been waiting for.
