I'm not sure when they started doing it, but at some point, the Sun decided to do a joke issue in the fall term as well as the traditional April 1st issue.  Halloween lends itself well to prankster-ism.

What ever happened to the Sun doing joke issues of other schools' newspapers in the fall?

When I were a lad...

the joke issue was only in the fall.  There was no April 1st joke issue (too obvious).
