Re: Cornell 6 USU18NDT 0 - 13 years ago
Quick question: Is the USU18NDT team this year a weak team compared to last year's squad? Or is our team stronger than most people believe, since nobody really knows who the scoring threats are? Why do I ask? Last year we lost to the USU18NDT team. This year we crushed them. The US18NDT lost to several other D1 programs in a similar fashion, giving up buckets of goals, and scoring verby margolism - Hockey

Cornell Hockey mention in NYT - 14 years ago
NYT Rangers vs. Islanders "Wednesday’s game was not the first time Tavares had set foot in the Garden. That happened on Nov. 28, when he and his Islanders teammate Matt Moulson watched Moulson’s brother play for Cornell against Boston University. No one recognized him at that game, he said." I hope Matt wasn't upset about the amount of ice time his brother had.by margolism - Hockey

Boy, sucks really does this year. 1-7-2 in 10 games. I thought they were supposed to be somewhat decent this year. And I recall reading that they only expect LeBlanc to stay a year or two at most.by margolism - Hockey

Swampy MB ... Our power play is looking pretty good, the PK not too bad, ... margolism After 3 games, Cornell ranked #1 in the country in OFFENSE. (6th in defense.) Also #1 on the power play. #1 is "pretty good," I'd say. Margolism, where did you get your stats? Can we find out how we rank in the PK? Re: (somebody else do the game thread) - 14 years ago
They may only be "in high school", but they gave the defending Division I hockey national champs, BU, a scare, losing by only a goal. As a team, they are superior to many division I schools. If they could be included in the Division I national polls (which they can't for obvious reasons) I wonder where they would be.by margolism - Hockey
Has this ever happened? - 14 years ago
Next week, on October 24th, Cornell plays an exhibition game against the US Under 18 team, featuring incoming Cornell goalie recruit Andy Isles. If Andy starts, it would mean a Cornell team facing, arguably, their starting goalie for the following season. (He's more highly regarded than Garman.) Has Cornell ever played against a team that had a known Cornell recruit / transfer on it? Alsby margolism - Hockey
