Re: What??? - 16 years ago
I saw that post, but didn't see it as a resignation call. I saw it as a suggestion that it may be time to give the horse a taste of the whip, so to speak. Nor do I see it as an unacceptable question as long as you're prepared for some strong responses.by TimV - Hockey

Did I miss a post? I didn't see any calls for resignations...just strategy/tactical/recruiting adjustments...by TimV - Hockey

Nice, clean, classic look. I'd go back in a minute if it was up to me. I dislike the silver or gray trim the most.by TimV - Other Sports
North Dakota at Minnesota - 16 years ago
Tied at 0 in the second. Huge brawl. North Dakota Coach Hextal flips huge bird at ref, who doesn't see it. Another fight as I post this. I love DirecTV.by TimV - Hockey

Since said sieve was still on the ice, it counts as a goal against, right? Not an ENG?by TimV - Hockey

Great post game show replays - 16 years ago
They showed all the goals, Sawada's hit, and as a nice finishing touch, as the annoumcers signed off they replayed the player's raising their sticks to salute. Very cool.by TimV - Hockey

Re: Cornell 2 RPI 1 (Post-game thread) - 16 years ago
Boy, I know I see the world thru red-tinted glasses, but I was there at the rink, and i saw it differently. First period: Cornell was sttistically outshot by about 14-4, but in my opinion, half of those shots were poor and had little to no chance of going in. Even RPI's very capable radio team said that that they didn't think RPI dominated that period. The RPI fans around me also thought weby TimV - Hockey

Check out the huge player photos on the exterior walls of the fieldhouse. Pictures of Saddam Hussein in 2002 Baghdad were smaller than these.by TimV - Hockey
Uryadov at Yale - 16 years ago
Box score says he got a 5min for hitting from behind and a 10 min and game misconduct at 4:29 of the first. Doesn't add up..if you add 40 min for the second and third periods the total would be about 55 min.by TimV - Hockey

Scrivens saves our ass on a breakaway in the last seconds. Jeez.by TimV - Hockey
Clarkson announcers - 16 years ago
Say Clarkson is 1-8-1 in last 10 games vs Red. I'm not woofing, just repeating what they're saying...by TimV - Hockey
Re: Cornell 2 v. Clarkson 0 (1st Period) - 16 years ago
I thought they skated with a lot of fire, handled the puck better than I've seen so far this year, and managed to keep a guy posted on the crease a lot better than in the past. Great diving save by Scrivens toward the end of the period. Hope Clarkson keeps the same sieve in...by TimV - Hockey

I sent a complaint by email and they fixed it and quickly sent a reply back. Neat...by TimV - Hockey

Re: Harvard 2 @ RPI 4 final - 16 years ago
I just got back from that game. I was vey impressed by RPI's breakout, they really get the puck up ice quickly. Once or twice the goaltender sent it directly to hangers on the opposite blue line. Other times they'd neatly tic-tac-toe the puck up. AND they have some guys up front who can finish. They had no trouble killing Harvard's man up. Crowd announced as 2600, but really didn't even seemby TimV - Hockey
