Trotsky What might have been. Did he graduate Michigan yet? Unfortunately, it's one of the few factory schools whose academics I can't fault. There ought to be a law requiring the USNTDP to relocate its training location to upstate New York. (Or at least requiring Canada's team to locate there.)by Swampy - Hockey

Maybe this has been posted earlier, but this article in The Hockey News will make you smile: "Recruiting Class: Cornell Building A Contender Through 2023-2024 Class." And by the way, "Keira Hurry" has to be one of the best names for a hockey player I've ever heard.by Swampy - Hockey

But in fairness to the students, Maher trivializes the issue by ignoring the specific complaint that led to the students' proposal. George64 dbilmes Dartmouth is getting an upgrade to its athletic facilities with a record-setting gift, although the article in the student paper doesn't say exactly how much the gift is for. Interestingly, donor Stephen Lewinstein and son Marc, both Dartmouth grads, received their law degrees from Cornell. Well, in Cornell v Michigan our FOGO won the faceoff and ran unimpeded towards the goal. He took a shot, which Michigan's GK saved. Al DeFlorio billhoward 2 teams wishing OT was not sudden death. Too much weight to the team with the better FOGO. Ridiculous OT format for a sport where a goal every 2-2.5 minutes is the norm. Agree, but the problem is how to make 2, 3, 4, or more OT periods more unlikely.by Swampy - Other Sports

CU77 C.J. Kirst is a Tewaaraton finalist: But not Gavin Adler, who should have been; all five finalists play attack. Yeah. It's time they stop pretending the Tewaarton is for the best player in college lacrosse. It's for the best offensive player. And, depending on the style of play currently in vogue, even just the best player at attack (as in this year).by Swampy - Other Sports

Re: Cornell lacrosse 2023 - 11 months ago
CU77 Looking too far ahead, Cornell will need to play as well as possible, and wish a dash of luck, to have a chance against any of the top 4 in the quarterfinals. Fortunately, one can say the same thing about the top 4 teams. They're all good enough to win the whole shebang. So a team that plays up to its ability and has a bit of luck has a great chance of winning.by Swampy - Other Sports

upprdeck most places have cornell as a 6-7-8 see now.. Losing at best they are an 8. Some Metrics have the IVY as the 8 see anyway. If yale wins out they will Jump Cornell for sure getting to 10-4 over Cornells 11-3. Penn probably needs to win 1 to stay in the mix. dbilmes Yale is going to be a tough foe on Friday. Even though Cornell beat Yale easily during the regular season, that was six weeks ago. Yale has a 5-game winning streak during which it has outscored its opponents 88-52. I've seen them play in person twice and their offense is explosive, especially in transition. mike1960 Here's a link to the Inside Lacrosse recap of the game. Some good quotes here. Coach Buczek called Blake's position next to the goal the "bagpipe." I've never heard that term before.
