Trotsky Swampy billhoward I know. There should still be a scarlet letter attached to blowing a 4 goal lead. In some cultures, the leader might turn to seppuku. (n/a to coaching football) Good idea. Maybe Mike can atone by knifing Archer. The football coach is less competent than the spy. And that's saying something.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

Al DeFlorio Jeff Hopkins '82 George64 TrotskyIt's a testament to how much the game has changed that 1.70 pts/game would not even crack Cornell's top 50 single season records. Thanks for sharing those stats. I was fortunate to have seen every one of them play, except John Gillies, 41st on the list. What's really impressive is that there are defensemen on that list! Trotsky RichHHonestly, I rather enjoyed the broadcaster. He had to juggle radio, TV, intermission, color, interviews, sponsors, and tugging at his mask all alone. Wouldn’t surprise me to learn he was also running the board. Seriously, he wasn’t your typical homer and complimented (and criticized) CU fairly all night. I agree completely. Al DeFlorio Weder Just noticed on the schedule that there is a home game against Washington State on the afternoon of Dec. 19, and WSU is playing at BYU the afternoon of the 18th. That’s a pretty rough turnaround for WSU (assuming that they are flying commercial). Also, WSU appears to be coming East just for that game. I’d be interested in the backstory. andyw2100 marty Or take a minute to show one!! Sam Malinski, third period! I hadn't noticed this watching in real-time, but check out the BU player Malinski beats. He leaves his stick on the ice and kinda throws his hands up in despair! I saw that. It was wonderful.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

billhoward Jeff Hopkins '82 Spend some time in Asia - there's no 4th floor or 13th floor on many buildings. And if it's tall enough, no 40th through 49th either. It also lets you be on the prestigious 70th floor of a luxury apartment building that only rises 50 floors above ground. Yup. Although 88th would be luckier.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

Dafatone Al DeFlorio Dafatone CU2007 It’s annoyingly complicated on the RPI/PWR side of things. “Just win, baby” has basically become “Just win in regulation, baby” If you think of OT games as basically ties for RPI purposes, it makes things simpler. So...now we endure unnatural hockey (3 on 3; shootouts) because you just can't abide having a tie, and simply must have a winner, but the resultinby Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

I can tell you that back when I was applying to colleges, my cousin was a professor in the Harvard Business School. She told me that despite that fact, she had zero influence in getting me accepted. For the record, I didn't get accepted there. Also for the record: I applied to Sucks simply so I could turn them down. Cornell was always my first choice, hands down.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Other Sports

andyw2100 jtwcornell91 I was listening for Davy in 3 after the 10th goal, and it didn't sound like it. Has the band forgotten about that (no lacrosse since the current seniors were freshmen), or was it just too hard to hear on the broadcast? Not sure what "Davy in 3" is, but I'm somewhat surprised you could hear much of the band on the broadcast at all. By the end of the game I tby Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
