Re: ECAC Semifinal - Dartmouth - 4 weeks ago
the number of times we unpressured throw blind passes up the wall is killing us. still positionally played better. one bad play turns into a goal. Dart made several that led to nothing. the 2 on 1. pass it one time and you make the d commit.. but we just glide until no room is left the giveway had time to control puck and not take a wild sliding shot on a rolling puck.by upprdeck - Hockey

Re: Robert Trent Jones Golf Course Renovation - 5 weeks ago
Maybe that is the confusion because you cant have a league where its only 6-7 holes, and people were being told a whole side would be getting shut down at times. If anything, they should be trying to somewhat limit play this yr with random holes being closed and less room to spread people out. Maybe members/guests only for the year would help The project managers I talked to said they hoby upprdeck - Other Sports
Re: Cornell vs Ohio State NIT game - Preview - 5 weeks ago
fouls hurt us a few times because OSU was allowed to climb over us all night.. Cornell commits too many sloppy fouls though. The key calls were the TECH.. At that point of the game you cant call that unless he gets right into the kids face and screams at him. The Time out call where the whole team is screaming. The ref looking at the ball needs to look for help sense he is looking at possby upprdeck - Other Sports
Re: What happened to PWR this year? - 5 weeks ago
We had 2 goal leads vs ASU 3 times and didnt hold them. We had lead vs Umass We had lead vs Clarkson anyone of those probably is enough to get us in Young team that didnt hold leads. Who knew. We almost blew a 4 goal lead vs a Harvard team that cant score at all for some weird reason given they talent they have.by upprdeck - Hockey

UMD coach pregame interviews said they were down several players when the came to play us.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: What happened to PWR this year? - 5 weeks ago
The issue isnt how the league played. The question is why were RPIs as whole so much higher that at good one didnt get us in already. Is it a function of parity Is it a function of teams getting more quality win bonusby upprdeck - Hockey

We are now in official win and stay in mode. for the next 1 - 6 games.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: What happened to PWR this year? - 5 weeks ago
It really comes down to the top of the NCHC. Omaha a 19-14 team played an 8-8 league season into a bid they beat CC 4 of 5 and ND twice. so they earned it, but the odds of going 6-1 against that schedule is pretty stacked. even 4 wins and they are out.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: What happened to PWR this year? - 5 weeks ago
This isn't so much about the ECAC doing poorly. It's about so many teams have such a higher RPI that something that hasn't happened in 20 yrs. is the reason Cornell has to win to get in.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Lake Placid-2024 - 5 weeks ago
Its almost like using virtual tickets has made this harder not easier? in the way back machine they used to send out tickets ahead of time to the schools to sell once they won. Has it gotten harder with tech running the show?by upprdeck - Hockey
What happened to PWR this year? - 5 weeks ago
IF Cornell wins game one and loses the finals you would have to go back over 20 yrs to find the one team that didn't make it with a PWR as high as Cornells would be. And that is the year Cornell was #1 in PWR? Thats as far back as the CHN site goes. Was that year 1 of it? A few of those years the PWR could have gotten us a 2-3 seed. Did parity cause this? did the effect of the ties cauby upprdeck - Hockey

CU2007 I’m no prude; I just think we’re better and more creative than constant f*ck you’s Thats pretty much the only word kids under like 25 use.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Lake Placid-2024 - 5 weeks ago
yeah.. the AD does a great job of running this simple stuff. In the old days they needed to wait for the paper tickets to show up to sell them. did STH get an email? if the Cornell section is not virtual that could be the hold up.. But still no reason that until 8pm people have no idea whats going on.by upprdeck - Hockey

Re: Harvard @ Cornell Saturday - 5 weeks ago
While I agree it's not the best use of language. I don't know that censoring a college group from occasional yelling in a cheer is a great use of resource time. The young kids will hear it about 100x during a game from many other sources.by upprdeck - Hockey

Re: Men’s Basketball 23-24 - 5 weeks ago
ugarte David Harding CU2007 NIT vs Ohio State. That’s kinda cool. NCAA For the third-straight season, the NIT seeded only the top half of the 32-team field. The bottom 16 unseeded teams were placed into the bracket by the NIT Committee as close to their area of natural interest as possible. Columbus, Ohio, is close our area of natural interest? I think I see four top half schools closer toby upprdeck - Other Sports

Re: MLAX: Cornell vs Princeton 3/17/24 - 5 weeks ago
great to go up 6. bad to go down 4 then played well to tie it up. But also threw away 7-8 chances to get a good lead then back down 2 then tied again When the D gets lost it gets really lostby upprdeck - Other Sports
Re: Robert Trent Jones Golf Course Renovation - 5 weeks ago
On to the new year. Looks to be happening at some point this year though. Nice that Athletics is charging a full rate for membership when the course may be down to 9 holes and other hole torn up all year.by upprdeck - Other Sports
Re: Opponents and Others 2023-24 - 5 weeks ago
At least the PWR prob matrix gives us a 30% chance to get in.. Beat the Dart goalie and see what happens vs Q.by upprdeck - Hockey
Re: Harvard @ Cornell Saturday - 5 weeks ago
Much better first period even if it didnt lead to a big lead. Better 2nd as well. Then we reverted to chasing plays again, but not nearly at the level of Fridays game.by upprdeck - Hockey
