Re: Cornell Women's Ice Hockey: February 2012 - 12 years ago
From the CornellWHockey twitter feed: "Honey badger aka Gags just getting in MC's face all night. Driving the net hard and Pattenden isn't liking it #honeybadgerdontcare" So there's that.by Thomas Larson - Hockey

Jeff Hopkins '82 I'm sorry. Honey Badger sounds like a Bond girl. Or like an LSU cornerback. I've never been a huge fan of re-using nicknames, but that's just me.by Thomas Larson - Hockey

Why are you calling Saulnier Honey Badger? I think the team calls Gagliardi the Honey Badger, not Saulnier.by Thomas Larson - Hockey
Re: Cornell Women's Ice Hockey: February 2012 - 12 years ago
Yes, this is much better, I think, though we'll only have February and March to worry about. Any chance this team loses one of its next four games? RPI, Union, Yale and Brown are all ranked in the bottom five of the conference. Beating Clarkson and St. Lawrence at the end of the month before ECAC QFinals will be a nice way to close out, but by then the league title should be locked up. Mazzby Thomas Larson - Hockey

Anyone else get to see the domination at Union today? Minus six players and after a monthlong layoff, this team looks pretty good. Players like Hompe, Ogilvie and Barley-Maloney got in on the action. Union's not great by any stretch, but still pretty encouraging. RPI should be tougher tomorrow.by Thomas Larson - Hockey

billhoward a) Casey's a class act for loaning out extra lumber. Or b) What's the world come to when an ought-to-be-commonplace sporting gesture has to be noted? Maybe Ndamukong Suh gets a good conduct medal for not stopping anyone since Thanksgiving. Or Bill Belichick ... wait, I'm a Pats fan, forget this last part. Dartmouth and Harvard -- based on the results in Lynah -- should be easier games this time around with the foursome of Rougeau, Fortino, Johnston and Jenner back. Can't see either of those games as a loss right now even if they are on the road. Quinnipiac, remember, was also considered a top team in the league and we killed them 7-1 in Camden Hamden.by Thomas Larson - Hockey

Makes sense. Didn't expect anything different. Team probably happy with almost a full month off right now. Some time to rest before the rest of the season's not-so-challenging schedule. At the halfway point, only Mercyhurst coming to Ithaca is a tough game the rest of the way.by Thomas Larson - Hockey

Found the video here: Eight bucks. Worth it? Thinking about just giving that Redcast audio a shot.by Thomas Larson - Hockey

What a great win for this team last night. They're never down so it was great to see them come from behind. CBR story at the end says the game is going to be audio today on redcast, so that should be interesting. still sucks to have to pay for Mercyhurst video, but we'll see if this Big Red audio is any good. Any idea who is on the call?by Thomas Larson - Hockey

Anyone know what to expect from Princeton/Quinn on the women's side now that the four Sweden girls are back? Should it be back to 9-0 blowouts?by Thomas Larson - Hockey
