Cornell loses to Dartmouth in football 34-6 - 10 years ago
It's Columbia or bust for a possible single Ivy win this season. Like I said previously, David Archer has a tough road ahead to build a consistent winning program. There is just a big talent gap between Cornell and the stronger teams in the Ivy League.by Ken711 - Other Sports
Re: Princeton gets a winter dome like Harvard's - 10 years ago
billhoward The Crimson Dome is listed as available to football, all other field sports, and to intramurals. Making the good facilities available to intramural and maybe even pickup sport athletes makes the mainstream student body feel better about money spent on sports facilities. No question the student body as well as many other sports would benefit. Having an indoor practice facility that coby Ken711 - Other Sports

That certainly helps Harvard's football program immensely and contributes to their long success in that sport.by Ken711 - Other Sports

1-9 or 2-8 at best. David Archer has his work cut out for him, I wish him luck.by Ken711 - Other Sports
Re: Cornell losing to Brown - 10 years ago
What are they doing half-time. I've never seen a Big Red look so completely lost in the 2nd half of games. Cornell fumbles on opening 2nd half kickoff, Brown defender catches it in mid-air and races 26 yards for a TD. Bears up 28-7 with just 10 seconds gone in 2nd half.by Ken711 - Other Sports
Cornell losing to Brown - 10 years ago
Wow already 21-7 at the half. Another trouncing of the Big Red in the making. I feel bad for Mathews in his final year.by Ken711 - Other Sports
Re: Cornell v. Monmouth - 10 years ago
Al DeFlorio Another dreadful second half a la the Yale and Colgate games. I think the second half game fades can be traced to not controlling the clock with a running game. The defense runs out of gas by half-time.by Ken711 - Other Sports

Hopefully, we'll beat Columbia for at least one Ivy win, but there are no guarantees.by Ken711 - Other Sports
Re: Cornell v. Monmouth - 10 years ago
scoop85 Monmouth leads 17-0 with 9:37 in 2nd Quarter. Defense unable to get a stop (Monmouth converted a 3rd and 16 to a wide open receiver on the last scoring drive), and the offense has done very little. Cornell has very little size and no real speed -- a deadly combination Archer has a huge job in front of him to bring us to respectability, let alone being a contending team. Re: Harvard at Cornell Football - 10 years ago
34-24 Harvard now. Cornell miscues again hurt this team. No running game is expected. David Archer better recruit some BIG lineman and at least one or two good running back and a kicker, or his tenure as Cornell head coach will be short.by Ken711 - Other Sports
Re: Colgate 41 at Cornell 20 football - 10 years ago
Same Cornell story for the last 4 years, no defense at all. Undersized and slow on the Dline. No running game for the last 4 years.by Ken711 - Other Sports
Re: Football @ Yale - 10 years ago
Mathews and receivers looked off. Defense was terrible.by Ken711 - Other Sports
Cornell beating Bucknell in football - 10 years ago
It looks like a another losing season ahead. Edit: Glad I'm wrong in this game and I hope I'm equally wrong on the season outcome.by Ken711 - Other Sports
2014 football recruits - 10 years ago
The first 2014 Cornell football recruit commitment that I have seen so far. Nice to see we beat out other Ivy offers from Columbia, Harvard, Penn and Yale.by Ken711 - Other Sports

Disappointing season. I'll give Courtney another year to at least be at or above a .500 record, or start looking for another coach.by Ken711 - Other Sports

Re: Cornell football unofficial recruits list - 11 years ago
Swampy Ken711 Given the coaching staff change, I think Cornell did pretty well. I'm looking forward to the official coaching staff announcement on the new assistant coaches. Agreed, Columbia is #61, and Brown's not even on the list of the top 81. That rating is way too premature based on the small number of announced recruits, so I wouldn't put any weight into that.
