Re: Corey Leivermann One and Done - 18 days ago
Less than 10 months in Ithaca. Has to be among the shortest coaching tenures for the team. Wonder if he chose to left or if was asked to choose to leave... Given how short his time was in Ithaca, I can't imagine there are many recruits he is responsible for, but I could be wrong.by margolism - Hockey

Re: NCAA tournament: CU vs Richmond 5/19 - 6 weeks ago
Interesting to note that the 13 goals allowed by Richmond in today’s game was a season high. And we did it with Kirst scoring only two goals. So while this wasn’t our best game offensively, we still gave Richmond their worst game of the season defensively. This was the only matchup in the tournament for Cornell that gave me pause. If I had to choose between playing Richmond again or Marylanby margolism - Other Sports

While we gave up a large number of goals in the ILT, it was against teams with strong offenses. If we score 14 we win.by margolism - Other Sports

upprdeck Maryland loses so Cornell probably playing for the 1 seed now I can't see how we don't get it after today's win.by margolism - Other Sports
Re: Cornell v Princeton 5/4, ILT mens lax FINAL - 8 weeks ago
The coaching stuff in a number of games has made adjustments during half time. I feel we "out adjust" our opponents at half time, which is a strong advantage for us.by margolism - Other Sports

Swampy BearLover upprdeck I prefer to look at the D for what they are. They make mistakes But they held Yale to 5 in the 2nd half Dart to 3 Harv to 4 SU to 1 in the 4th Brown to 3 Penn to 4 Princ to 4 PSU to 4 until the epic penalty drive last 3+ min Rich to 3 Hobart to 2 Denver to 4 Lehigh to 5 Only yale the first game scored more than 5 and that was mostly the game was out oby margolism - Other Sports

I've seen predictions that we can be anywhere from a #1 seed to a #4 seed. The NCAAA selection committee is unpredictable.by margolism - Other Sports

Re: Hey Clownlover, the sky isn't falling: this year's team is last year's team. - 5 months ago
I think the biggest reason(s) we are where we are today are: 1. Defensive performance, starting with goaltending. In many games, this has resulted in us playing from behind, which I am sure impacts the approach to the game, scoring, trying to do more resulting in being out of sync, etc. 2. Absence of Gabe Seeger, which has impacted the team's offensive production. Especially his 30 assistsby margolism - Hockey

Cornell has the ball to start the second half. Albany's best defensive player is out for the rest of the game due to a targeting call.by margolism - Other Sports

Did you get a confirmation email if you ordered tickets? I see the credit charge went through, I have an order number, but no confirmation email or text. And when I click on my order it says Oops An Error Occurred. Anyone?by margolism - Hockey

Re: 2022 Takeaways - longest ECAC drought - 3 years ago
Getting back to the original topic... What strikes me as interesting is how similarly this team fared compared to the 2018-2019 team, the team right before #1 ranked 2019-2020 team. This team went 18-10-4, the 18-19 team went 21-11-4, with a 4-3 record in the playoffs. This year's team went 12-6-4 in ECAC action, the 2018-2019 went 13-5-4.
