Chris '03 Will DL Ah. Geez, I must have been AWOL when that was available. Or was it that far back? Age's livestream of games goes back 20 years or more. Death of hockeycam: Another example of the kind of behavior from the Athletic Dept under Andy Noelby nshapiro - Hockey

Penn and Princeton and both Duke and UNC this weekend. Does the ACC reciprocate next season with games in Philly and Princeton?by nshapiro - Other Sports
Re: Hobart-Cornell lax - 30 days ago
billhoward nshapiro billhoward * We've already got five of our 13 games against non-league teams this week rated top 20 – Denver, Ohio State, Penn State, Syracuse, Notre Dame – and four Ivy teams. No Southern teams, tho. Aren't Syracuse and ND Southern teams now? As Stanford, Cal and SMU are now 3, 3 and 1 time zones removed from the location implied by Atlantic Coast Conference. Trotsky Pay makes sense if the university is making money off the players. Give them a percentage of the net profit. For every sport except football and basketball, the net profit is zero. Problem solved. Not that it was a problem, since "but it's inconvenient and complicated" are not good reasons to exploit people. Does Dartmouth basketball make a profit?by nshapiro - John Spencer Is Dead
Re: Cornell at Dartmouth, 1/27 - 8 weeks ago
Iceberg Dafatone I'm kinda stuck here, because on one hand I tend to be relatively optimistic, but on the other hand I somehow hate Dartmouth more than Harvard. I always found the games against Dartmouth to be contentious affairs and often more exciting that the games against Harvard the night before or after. With Gaudet behind the bench, you would figure some kind of shenanigans would happenby nshapiro - Hockey

rojo Irish mlax schedule shows tilt with us in Old Westbury at 12:30 on April 14. Active ticketing link. Cornell vs ND is apparently the opening act for the Manhasset vs Shorham Wading River gameby nshapiro - Other Sports

When we had the one bit of possession in OT, their skater backed into his own net and dislodged it with no push from a Cornell skater. Shouldn't that be a delay penalty?by nshapiro - Hockey
Re: Cornell in the Valley of the Sun - 2 months ago
I went to the ASU athletics site, navigated to the game, and am now watching the game from that link for free.by nshapiro - Hockey

0-2-1 against pairwise top 25 4-0-0 against pairwise bottom 25 Only surprising thing is that UMD is bottom 25. Good news is that Princeton is bottom 25 too.by nshapiro - Hockey

Weder ugarte Weder chimpfood Penn beats Villanova, stop sleeping on the Ivy League. Also, how in the world did Penn manage to get Villanova and Kentucky to come to their house this year? I would kill to just get Syracuse to come to Newman once. Penn-Villanova is a Big 5 game, so those get rotated around all the Philly schools’ home courts. (Though I think at one time all Big 5 games were playedby nshapiro - Other Sports

Let's change the basic structure of the university to accommodate sportsball. In the ‘60s, when checking out graduate schools, I looked through The OSU course catalogue. Chris '03 French Rage Chris '03 French Rage upprdeck I see they announced an arrest for the Cornell anti-jewish statements thing. Was a student apparently. Hopefully he (or maybe she? no, definitely a he) won't be for much longer. He. Has anyone seen any reference to whether he also was responsible for the anti-semitic graffiti as well?by nshapiro - John Spencer Is Dead

Trotsky jtwcornell91 Beeeej Will Beeeej Please be patient - there are a few mods, but only Age has the ability to block instead of deleting, and literally a majority of the mods have babies under a year old in the house to care for. How dare you all have very cute babies all around the same time. The nerve of you people. That's not what they mean by "family planning." My babies areby nshapiro - Hockey

Swampy TimV Trotsky Al DeFlorioThat looks exactly on beam.Depends whose "day" you mean by "our day." In the early 60s it was a $25 CUAA coupon book that got a student into every sports event. Well, in the early 60s we sucked. Supply and demand. Do we still just give free football tix to students? I had a CUAA book 64-68. Harkness years when we SO did not suck. Don't knby nshapiro - Hockey

First period of his NHL playoff career, Barron gets cut pretty badly above the eye by the Las Vegas goalie's skate in a scramble in front of the net. Blood dripping into the crease. Back on the ice in the second period.by nshapiro - Hockey

Re: Cornell lacrosse 2023 - 1 year ago
I suspect that cost was only part of the issue. They probably asked Quint and Anish if they wanted to go to Ithaca and were told "No Fucking Way, that is not in the ACC or B10."by nshapiro - Other Sports
Re: Opponents and Others, 2022-23 - 1 year ago
I understand the antipathy toward Q, but what is the alternative - Q leaving the ECAC, having our SOS (and indirectly, RPI and pairwise) suffer, and all of Q's accomplishments credited to another conference? I don't miss the EZAC days, and I don't want them back.by nshapiro - Hockey

scoop85 adamw It's too bad the Cornell Sun and Ithaca Journal both have non-existent daily coverage of the hockey team anymore ... because Mike Schafer made a lot of interesting remarks at yesterday's press conference. Unfortunately we weren't able to be there either until today. (it's not just the Sun and IJ, local newspaper coverage is non-existent, student and "pro," all over the couby nshapiro - Hockey
Re: 2023 ECAC Post Season - 1 year ago
Maybe I am getting too tired, but YATC is now showing Merrimack ahead of us even if they lose, so we might need one of two favorites to win, Hahvahd or St. Cloud, not one of three.by nshapiro - Hockey
Re: 2023 ECAC Post Season - 1 year ago
Dafatone BearLover ugarte So we need any one of: St. Cloud scores in OT and beats CC Harvard over Colgate - Hey Trotsky where ya at on this? BU over whoever wins UML/Merrimack Right? Right. Harvard and BU will be the favorites, so we have a pretty good shot. The 99.7% number from the CHN model was a complete joke. I’ll keep harping on it until people stop citing it. ugarte nshapiro Is there any source that tells which match will be on which mat, or do I just have to watch that 8-in-1 screen?you can find the upcoming bouts on Track. First guy up is our 125, Brett Ungar, the third match on Mat 8. The mat assignments will have current, on deck and in the hole posted. After the initial assignments, wrestlers get assigned as matches finish and slots open up. Someby nshapiro - Other Sports
