wolcoma Any updates on Cornell football from pre-season practices? Nothing on the Big Red website. The biggest question is who will replace Jameson Wang (graduated) at QB this season? Additionally the running game really struggled last year and hopefully someone on this team can carry the ball this fall. Hurry up and wait I guess as the first game is not until September 20th. scoop85 RichH Trotsky My vote goes to my daughter's school, Sea Gull Stadium, Salisbury Maryland. It's a cathedral for lacrosse. 1) That’s a football field. 2) it just looks like the now gone West Stands, but maintained. Yeah,that's not the be all of lacrosse venues. For a Division 3 school it's pretty nice, but not a dedicated lacrosse only facility.by Ken711 - Other Sports

During the Ivy League's virtual football media day, Cornell coach Dan Swanstrom said preseason All-America WR Sam Msungu played with a torn ACL last year (while collecting 83 receptions and 10 TDs in 10 games) and may sit out the 2025 season. He had surgery after the season and may miss this season. WR is a deep group so hopefully we can find depth to fill in. But his loss will still be toughby Ken711 - Other Sports

CAS Cornell did win 3 Ivy games last year - finishing fifth - in Swanstrom’s first season. We finished 4-6 overall. Yep good start for his first season. Nearly won the Brown game and we could have finished 5-5. It's also some behind the scenes actions like hiring a strength coach solely for the football that should have development going forward. dbilmes Cornell not getting much respect from the rest of the Ivy League, as evidenced by our being picked to finish seventh in the preseason poll. They'll need to earn it. But I believe they are building a good base of talent each year. Princeton coach Bob Surace was 1-9 each of his first two seasons, and Buddy Teens on his return to Dartmouth was 2-8 each of his first two seasons. Both coaby Ken711 - Other Sports

Weder David Harding Status report from I guess I misunderstood, but I didn’t realize the indoor practice facility was separate from Meing. The new field hockey facility is being built at the Game Farm Road athletic complex location like where Booth Field is for baseball. Cop at Lynah The fact that there are no real locker rooms in this massive building is just a head scratcher Most indoor practice facilities don't have locker rooms, I don't see it as a head scratcher with the proximity to Schoellkolf. On the other hand, not that many will have a mezzanine with a limited viewing area and two team meeting rooms like the Meinig facility will have.by Ken711 - Other Sports

Update photo and other information: There are 11 main structural spanning metal beams, and they have installed 10 of them now. The final structural beam can been seen laying on the ground on the construction site and will probably be installed soon. They have already starting installing the built up rubber membrane roofing system on the roof section from the soccer field working toward Weby Ken711 - Other Sports

CU2007 Ken711 Hope someone can post a recent photo or two of the current construction progress. Can’t help you there, but also interested. What is the projected open date? In time for this winter? I don’t know anything about construction, but I imagine a field house is a fairly simple build compared to other things. NIL strikes again. Mark Quatrani leaves for Notre Dame. Missed this yesterday, but @NDBaseball picked up 2024 Ivy League Rookie of the Year Mark Quatrani from Cornell. Career .338 hitter who turned in a .966 OPS as a sophomore last season with 10 doubles and six home runs.by Ken711 - Other Sports

upprdeck it would have made a little pub perhaps if they had a live camera. Of course students would have complained most likely. When SU did the JMA construction they had a crazy amount of viewing that stream. Brown University's indoor turf facility has them.by Ken711 - Other Sports
