Crespi, I'm sure that if you had attended Clarkson University, you would have been familiar with the proper placement of commas in English grammar. For shame, Crespi, for shame.by mttgrmm - Other Sports

first off, note that they couldn't spell "dexshow" properly... spelled differently in his name and in the group's name. and his profile isn't private, so if you change your "networks" to include Vancouver, BC, you can see his whole profile and all his pictures. i got bored of looking through it, but attached find a PDF of his profile. note the *nsync, "some BSB&quoby mttgrmm - Hockey
Re: Schafer on the Florida tournament - 17 years ago
yeah i dont think his criticism was that kids went home, it's not like an NFL mini-camp or something where a veteran doesn't show up. he's been a college coach for a long time, and breaks/exams and all that are a part of the landscape at any school. if some of the team hadn't kept up on their conditioning during that time, it would really show on a second day against a top-tier team. it seemby mttgrmm - Hockey

WZON streams fine for me through Firefox on WinXP. It loads in a tiny Windows Media Player thing running in Mozilla. the schedule says they're carrying the game but they're talking about the NY Giants right now.by mttgrmm - Hockey

kroseAs with Fred, you are building a scenario that simply wouldn't occur because there are disincentives to that activity. disincentives how? by whom? who determines which men are eligible to become re-po men? whoever is biggest? whoever is strongest? presuming all governments, the U.S., the U.K., every other Eastern and Western governments are eliminated, what is the organization thatby mttgrmm - John Spencer Is Dead

kroseThe other half is that theft is always wrong. And taxation is morally equivalent to theft (among other things). Just because you need something doesn't mean that I am morally obligated to pay for it, and yet I am forced to because the government has threatened to throw me in jail if I don't. You'll find many people to disagree with that claim. First, do you not use public highways? Whatby mttgrmm - John Spencer Is Dead

I still have my line number form (I got my tickets off the wait list and didn't have to turn mine in). Word for word: Cornell University and the NCAA promote good sportsmanship and prohibit intimidation of athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators. Cornell requests your cooperation by supporting the participants and officials in a positive manner. Profanity, racial or sexist commentsby mttgrmm - Hockey
Re: The ushers have gone TOO far - 17 years ago
Yeah it's not that nobody's pursuing damages, it's the point that he is responsible for the person in possession of his ticket. It's definitely worth trying to speak honestly with the (fire) AD and/or JA, especially if he has some sort of paper trail clearly showing his sale to this other kid. Without the paper trail, it might be hard to convince anyone that it wasn't him that got kicked out.by mttgrmm - Hockey
Re: The ushers have gone TOO far - 17 years ago
however in a civil suit you would still be liable for damages/injuries caused by your vehicle regardless of who was driving it. a while back I crashed my car but my dad was still named on the title for it. when I got sued for the damages to the other car he was named as a co-defendant and we were told that the owner is always liable, regardless of who was driving.... i agree with you thaby mttgrmm - Hockey
Re: BU players attacked - 17 years ago
yeah you gotta figure coach is gonna have a word with them about the 4am thing... pretty crazy though, i can't believe the girls lax player was hit in the face with a bat... unbelievable. despite hating BU hockey, i think we can all hope for a quick recovery for all of them.by mttgrmm - Hockey
Re: Cornell 3 RPI 3 Post-game Thread - 17 years ago
yeah man, there was that one where scrivens came out and stopped it between the circles and then hit the puck far back down the ice towards a waiting RPI defenseman... like he was clearing or something but his defense was coming back to pick it up... i really didn't understand that play... but that glove save in OT.... crazy...by mttgrmm - Hockey
Re: Separate ushers-vs.-fans game thread? - more noise? try more silence (1 game only) - 17 years ago
The usher who told me to tone down the Hooper taunting on Sunday was very apologetic after the game. I went over to her to try to get clarification on what exactly I had said that provoked the warning. She said she personally thought I wasn't over the line, but that she had been taken aside and specifically told by "one of Andy's people" to warn me. She actually agreed with me thatby mttgrmm - Hockey

i'm finishing my 5th year up on the hill (4 UGrad, 1 MEng) in May and i'd definitely start that.... think of how many faithful cheers are applicable to (fire) Andy: "aaaaaannnnnnddddddyyyyyy nnnnooooeeeeelllll.... SUCKS" "fi-re an-dy clapclapclapclapclap fi-re an-dy" "hey andy noel, your mom called, she said DONT MAKE ANY NOISE ARE YOU ARE GOING TO BE THROWN OUTby mttgrmm - Hockey
Re: Wayne State Postgame (Sunday) - 17 years ago
yeah the one that almost got me tossed was "Hooper your mother Wendy will still love you even though you are ugly and a horrible hockey player.... I will still hate you." it was a matter of seconds after that I was told to tone it down. it's safer to just go with "hooper you suck" or something like that, cause we know (fire) andy won't toss us for that.by mttgrmm - Hockey
Re: Wayne State Postgame (Sunday) - 17 years ago
i've never posted before (but read frequently) but here are my thoughts on the game: I didn't notice Scali on the ice very much, but there were two big plays he had that I definitely noticed. He had a very nice drive with space (not quite a breakaway I don't think) in the first period when the WS keeper made a very nice save. He also had a very nice 2 on 1 in the third that was knocked awayby mttgrmm - Hockey
Re: Reminder - Hockey Ticket Preregistration - 17 years ago
Just an update: I just got line numbers. I'm a grad student and my friends and I got line numbers 187 through 190. I asked and was told that 936 undergrads have gotten line numbers so far, but I don't know if that included the senior tickets or not.by mttgrmm - Hockey
