Re: Injury note for Friday - 17 years ago
DrewDodge will not play this weekend. After noting some comments above I would like to thank whoever plonked down the money to hire Mr. Gillooly and his collapsible baton.by WillR - Hockey

With about 6min left 2nd period Q 2 Sucks 0. Shots vastly in Sucks' favor. Perhaps more importantly accoding to the Q website: all fans in attendance to receive commemorative ticket and Boomer the Bobcat bobblehead maybe next year when we play Sucks we can all get Donato bald bobble heads or something. -WillRby WillR - Hockey
Re: Post Game! - 17 years ago
redhair34WillR As long as I am on the topic of poor etiquette and Colgate, what is the deal with Colgate’s WWF announcer at Starr not announcing Cornell’s goals? It seemed a bit childish and I think hw did the same thing last year. I was wondering if only we get this treatment or if they roll out the red carpet like that for everyone. -WillR Colgate returns to FUULLLLLL strength!! And thby WillR - Hockey
Re: Post Game! - 17 years ago
The crowd did love it so i guess it worked out OK for us. It was pretty funny. While I realize that etiquette and Colgate do not usually go together in the same sentence, unless preceded by the word poor, didn't Colgate violate band etiquette of not playing over one another? Do tubas not count as a band or is it just a lack of class? As long as I am on the topic of poor etiquette and Colgatby WillR - Hockey
Re: Jersey - 17 years ago
Tom LentoKeithKAnyone who thinks the new jerseys are going to make any significant difference in on ice performance is kidding himself. Maybe there is a 9% decrease in drag under certain conditions. That does not translate into a 9% increase in speed. I'm talking out of my rear end here, but I feel like it's more likely to result in roughly the same speed with less work, or slightly faster spby WillR - Hockey
Roll call for Colgate - 17 years ago
I am not sure if games this close traditionally deserve a roll call list. If they do, who is going? If this game does not warrant a role call then ignore this. However, all suggestions on where to go for dinner and drink before the game would be welcome. Hopefully we can come back with a win and the other half of the piccolo. -WillRby WillR - Hockey

Jim HylacalgARI '07If Feola saw the puck go over the line then it is a goal. I guess he just didn't see that happen and just saw Nelson cover it with his hand.Only the most sinister of us would think he would not call a goal if he saw it over. He looked confused as to what happened and I think did the right thing and talked to all officials, including the goal judge. He then determined the puckby WillR - Hockey
Re: Cornell Vs. Clarkson - 17 years ago
ajec1ClarksyFrom today's early game. Clarkson pep band 5, Cornell pep band 2 in broomball action. That's only because I wasn't there (although I only play outside on ponds, which might not be possible there now)... Is this band broomball a fun Clarkson tradition or just a one off against Cornell tonight?by WillR - Hockey
Re: North Country Road Trip - 17 years ago
Will be there for the Clarkson game but not SLU(t). Just called the clarkson ticket office today and got the ticket. Looking forward to this one. As for things to do, go spend some time in the Adirondacks. If you all bring your skis you could stop at Placid and ski Ice Face or some other ski area in between.by WillR - Hockey

BeeeejWillRugarteNot surprisingly (in light of the DNA test results), the DA has dropped the rape charges. Surprisingly, he has the cojones to keep other charges live as the alleged victim now claims that she "can not recall if she was penetrated or not." Good luck with that prosecution, pal. Re: Higher Glass in Lynah - 17 years ago
sen '08It also makes it harder for the individuals with loud voices to taunt opposing players and seives. You have to be above the glass for it to even have a chance of it being effective, and now that means sitting a few rows higher. I started worrying about that at the skills challenge last night, since I'm one of the two loudest female voices in Lynah. I agree that it's good for safeby WillR - Hockey

Tub(a)nyc94Tub(a)KeithKThe responsibility is still Ms. Liebeck's. She was the one who spilled the coffee. But then I am a firm believer in personal responsibility for one's actions, which probably rules out a large fraction of liability suits (IMO). Re: SLU @ Clarkson- Free Video (comparison to No Access) - 17 years ago
i haven't seen any of the games on CSTVs no access service but how does this compare to what we have? Also any idea who pays for this service that Clarkson provides? Would be interested in any comparison anyone has. -WillRby WillR - Hockey

Re: BU players attacked - 17 years ago
maybe they can get some quality DA like Nifong to come up to Boston and botch the line up and prosecute some people who were up in Maine at the time of the assualt. Seriously though, hope the BU team recovers and then is involved in some heartbreaking loss if for no other reason than Boston sports fans are the worst in the world.by WillR - Hockey

sah67I agree in general about an overall lack of volume from the student sections tonight...however, I would like to give major props to whomever it was at the top of D that started an excellent "Hey Mrazek...your mom/dad/dental hygienist, etc. called" chant that went on loud and strong for about 7 or 8 verses...first time I've heard repetitive and effective cheering like that in Lynahby WillR - Hockey
Re: Noel's take on Fish - 17 years ago
ugarteBeeeejThe answer to the question you think you originally asked, since you have now gone to the trouble of asking it (and whatever you may think, I do appreciate the clarification), is: No, I don't think Donato's foreknowledge of the fish has any bearing whatsoever on whether the fish is unsportsmanlike or, if it is unsportsmanlike, how unsportsmanlike it is. mhaWhen a merchant doesn't provide what you pay for and refuses to issue a refund, you have a recourse. Document the specific problem, what you paid, what you tried to do to get the merchant to correct it, and then tell your credit card company you're not paying. If enough people suck their money back from CSTV via credit card complaint procedures, someone might notice. When you pay for a serviby WillR - Hockey
Re: Dartmouth @ Cornell -Post Game Comments 11/11/06 - 17 years ago
las224fullofgasWhat did your sign say? "Put your Johnson in your Dartmouth and SWALLOW!!!" My question is why did Dartmouth keep the sign? Did they want proof that this evil sign could no longer torment them from afar or did the coach think there were some good ideas in it to work on during practice?by WillR - Hockey
Re: As Expected, "Zero Tolerance" For Friday Night - 17 years ago
ebilmescanuck89Well, after purposefully not participating in "See ya ..., you goon" because I saw an usher watching me the whole game, I was removed anyway for supposedly using profanity in that cheer. Yeah, good times... We had 3 right near us get removed for "Bull-shit." Anyone know if people got thrown out for fish? I didn't notice anyone get caught... They were rightby WillR - Hockey
Re: As Expected, "Zero Tolerance" For Friday Night - 17 years ago
This is where we need some clever engineer types to arrange for a Marlin to appear from the rafters and to descend slowly from above. Please note i said said slowly. Someone getting skewered or merely flattened by a Marlin plummeting from 60 ft would certainly put a damper on a fine tradition. LGR! -WillRby WillR - Hockey
Re: As Expected, "Zero Tolerance" For Friday Night - 17 years ago
Well i will admit that i am probably too chicken to do it but i will do my best to engage in conversation with the ushers when Sucks takes to the ice to distract and to obscure their view. I can at least attempt to help my fellow student. I might also suggest that those on the end of the isles make sure you kind of move to block the view as best as possible. LynahFaithfulSoverall i think it's nice when the site first came up, at first i thought it hadn't finished loading, due to lack of the bright red heading...oops. hehe. i agree with the i-think-there-is-a-lack-of-red comment, but if it doesn't really work, it doesn't really work! overall, it's gets above an "eh" but not quite a "great"...maybe a "great minus"by WillR - Hockey
Re: What's the word on Moulson? - 17 years ago
Since i am heading to LA in October I was trying to figure out the latest on if Moulson was playing right now or not. I didn't see that he had been sent down in the posts, though i could have missed it. LA kings had him on the roster but listed his position as D thus leading me to question the accuracy of this report anyway. Re: 2006-7 Schedule -why thursday at colgate? - 17 years ago
I was looking at the schedule and noticed the Colgate game dates. Does anyone know why the away Colgate game is on a THURSDAY, 1/25? This surely is not being done to improve class attendance at Colgate. Do any conspiracy theorists or creative thinkers have any idea about this odd timing? -Willby WillR - Hockey
Re: New Lynah Photo Slideshow - 17 years ago
petergbillhowardThat can't be the final mesh that covers the west end gallery. I'm sure the photgrapher snapped the picture just as a workman passed in front of the camera carrying wire mesh reinforcing material for one of the concrete pours. No, that is the mesh that is up all along the west end walkway. It is VERY distracting to look at the ice through it. Maybe it will disappear when watchby WillR - Hockey
