Re: Complaining Early About the Fall 2007 Ticket Line - 17 years ago
I heard early rumors that the procedure would be somewhat similar to last year, as there was minimal complaints and no hospitalizations as a result. Who knows though, I guess only time will tell.by Doug '08 - Hockey
Re: Top 3 goals/plays of the year - 17 years ago
sah67Doug '08 2. Mitch Carefoot’s Goal @ RPI… he gets absolutely demolished, and still scores. I am sure there must be video highlights somewhere… one of the gutsiest plays I’ve ever seen at any level. Another great one I forgot about, but it was @Union, not RPI...video can be found Here. Carefoot's goal/demolishment starts at ~1:35 Good catch, that whole weekend just seemed to run togetherby Doug '08 - Hockey

Davenport's amazing post-to-post save on a point blank shot to preserve the win @ Princeton in the final minutes... He made an NHL caliber save that I think was the best playby Doug '08 - Hockey

Josh '99BeeeejDoug '08I can’t wait until tomorrow night's game; I hope this is going to be our first 4 point weekend in a long time. Fixed your post. I was pleasantly surprised to have gotten through most of the thread without a post like this. Oh well. We WILL win tomorrow nightby Doug '08 - Hockey
Cornell vs Quinnipiac postgame - 17 years ago
Wow… great game, I am FIRED UP about Cornell hockey right now. Team played all 60 minutes huge win against a top opponent. Pros: Greening played fabulous, is quietly starting to become one of the team’s best players. First power play was great, PK was very good also. Best performance from a goaltender we’ve had this season, phenomenal game by Davenport. Great hustle and drive from everyoneby Doug '08 - Hockey
Re: Post Game! - who's No. 1 goalie - 17 years ago
OmieSchafer said he plans on rotating the goalies until a clear #1 emerges, I think it is best. That much I can definitely agree on. This game is all mental, goaltending especially, and whatever it takes to give our players and edge or spark is what we have to go with. However I only hope this doesn’t get in Davenport’s head because I think he definitely has the most upside. My bet is we areby Doug '08 - Hockey
Re: Post Game! - 17 years ago
MBDoug '08That being said Scrivens didn't impress me and I'd prefer to see Davenport. His positioning was unorthodox and at times he was just plain beaten, but that being said he made every save (but one, and yeah that goal was pretty bad) and results are what counts. He can let in a soft goal here and there, as long as we WIN. I respectfully disagree with you here. Scrivens looked very solidby Doug '08 - Hockey
Re: Post Game! - 17 years ago
Great game great game. Student section was amazing, great energy and intensity. People were really jacked up for this game. I don't know if it was because it was a TV game or what but phenomenal energy. I really liked the play of our defensemen tonight; I only counted 2 quality scoring opportunities for them. Penalty kill was as aggressive as I've seen, very good. I thought our firstby Doug '08 - Hockey
Re: Jersey - 17 years ago
ebilmesSpeaking of jerseys, has anyone heard anything about when last year's jerseys will be put on sale to the public? Did it already happen and I missed it? I picked up Ryan O'Byrne's home #2 just last week, at which point there were still a few left.by Doug '08 - Hockey
Re: "Weekend Off" - 17 years ago
While I agree Kindret played with urgency and a lot of heart (unlike most of the team), but even calling him servicible I think might be a BIT of a stretch. The guy seemed to have trouble keeping his balance, looked confused on both the offensive and defensive ends, and was constantly out of position. I guess all of these things are expected for any player after not playing in a real game situaby Doug '08 - Hockey
Re: Who sits...? - 17 years ago
Most of Krueger's penalties have been hooking and holding calls: I think he, like all freshman defensemen seem to, is just having a tough time adjusting to the college game. I agree, he definitly isn't a bruiser. He will probobly be the first to come out of the lineup when Glover returns, unless he starts significantly outplaying Salmela.by Doug '08 - Hockey
Re: Who sits...? - 17 years ago
I agree, although I am going to say its probobly going to be krueger more than salmela.by Doug '08 - Hockey

Re: Cornell 3 Princeton 2 Post Game Thread - 17 years ago
I just got back to campus after an awesome road trip. Overall, Davenport was very solid in net, spectactular late. He made his most amazing save of the season with under a minute to go in the third, go going post to post and getting horizontal to make a kick save on a one timer from point blank range. Although ugarte, and others are right, he handles the puck WAY too much. It wouldn't botheby Doug '08 - Hockey
