RichH billhoward TrotskyThe reduction of people to Homo Derpus Commercia is not for their benefit. It's lab rats being given electroshock. I just want to see Cornell not hit the post. Plenty go completely over the net. This year it's pucks jumping up onto their edge just as we get a stick on them.\by Trotsky - Other Sports

billhoward I'm not a huge fan of the music during play stoppages and of the Tokyo-by-Night graphics on the video scoreboard. But I'm old. If it brings younger fans and keeps them coming, well, more power to them.I'm not convinced it appeals to younger fans either. It's just stupidity. I guess you can argue that stupidity will appeal to more people. But I imagine the decisions at the Consultiby Trotsky - Other Sports

RichH upprdeck considering you could run all the video off remote cameras I dont think High angles are really an issue if you use the right equipment, Nevermind that, can we talk about the assault on the senses every venue seems to want? Even the modest & thin video scoreboard I can see in the photo of Appleton is entirely too many blazingly bright photons to completely ruin the setting.by Trotsky - Other Sports

billhoward 14850.com goes into greater detail without providing additional information. I mean, it sounds as if authorities treat this as serious attempt at bomb-making. But then a truck with diesel in the fuel tank carrying a load of fertilizer (ammonium nitrate) is all you need for a bomb, other than a detonator (and the right ratio of fertilizer mixture to fuel). Or so I hear. I was never realby Trotsky - John Spencer Is Dead

Weder Trotsky St. Thomas in D.C. Minnesota in D.C. Wait, what? I am there! Edit: oh that is so cool. They are playing 23 minutes from my house! For the record, they are not in DC, they are in lovely Ballston, VA, a hotbed of social rest. I will go to support them. Attendance will be in the tens! Al DeFlorio Trotsky The Palestra is a remarkable place for basketball history. I would compare it to Matthews Arena. Went to Matthews Saturday night. The wall at the west end is being held up by a forest of girders propped against the outside of the wall. Fans not allowed to sit in the balcony sections against that wall. Not a good sign. Well they need to refurb it, because other than Gby Trotsky - Other Sports

According to Troop E Commander, Maj. Miklos Szoczei II, on November 6th, a Veteran Highway Department employee found a possible explosive on Merka Road, and called 911. The New York State Police Bomb Disposal Unit and FBI made the explosive safe. State and federal law enforcement began investigating the incident, interviewing neighbors and companies across the country, narrowing down a poby Trotsky - John Spencer Is Dead

Local MotionFor example, if you look at Wall Street, many of the bond traders, investment bankers, and other professions in the Big Apple are former Ivy League athletes because they both came from money and are the type of sociopath that thrives in those environments. RichHThe thing that drove me nuts is that the winning goal was more of a Cornell-style goal and not a Harvard-style goal. The whole game was like that. We switched sweaters: Cornell was faster and quicker and Harvard was gumming things up and slowing the pace down.by Trotsky - Hockey

SwampyThe most beautiful goal I've ever seen since I started watching college hockey, was a drop pass from Doug Ferguson to, I believe, Mike Doran at a holiday tournament around 1967 in Boston. On a breakaway, Doug faked a shot and got the goalie moving one way, but actually dropped the pass to a trailing Doran, who put the puck in the open side of the net. The opponent was, IIRC, some school froby Trotsky - Hockey

chimpfood Trotsky chimpfood Just not good enough this weekend, especially Shane. But OTOH Shane also made spectacular saves on sure goal chances on both nights. <shrug emoji> I’m just never gonna be happy with 5 goals on 38 shots across a weekend. His big stops tonight seemed more like poorly placed shots on good chances than good saves.Opinions vary.by Trotsky - Hockey

BearLoverI don’t see anyone creating offense other than Robertson.Kraft and Castagna were setting up plays all night, we just couldn't pot them. My god though Robertson is another species. It's too bad the Cornell single season assist record is Deity because I could see him getting into the 40s with the right offense and a deep run.by Trotsky - Hockey
