semsox What a save by Fiore. Wow Yeah, they were mentioning pregame that both goalies might play today. I have a feeling Fiore will be staying in. Hes had 3 or 4 really nice saves.by Jacob '06 - Other Sports

Is it just me, or does Pannell score at least half of his goals on that same play. Half-hearted pick behind the cage, Pannell works out front, backs into defender, turns and shoots from about 5 feet in front of the goal line.by Jacob '06 - Other Sports

Al DeFlorio semsox Al DeFlorio semsox Tell me someone is watching Redcast right now....I am trying to but the audio and video freeze every two or three seconds. It was doing that for me as well but has stabilized. I wrote to tech support and received a response to not use a wireless connection but to connect with a cable. I suppose that's better than telling me to run MS-DOS. I'm using wireby Jacob '06 - Other Sports

Al DeFlorio semsox Tell me someone is watching Redcast right now....I am trying to but the audio and video freeze every two or three seconds. Re: Alumni in the Pros - March 2010 - 14 years ago
cbuckser He's neither an alum nor a professional yet, but Ben Scrivens is drawing interest from multiple NHL teams, including the Flyers and Maple Leafs. Well at the rate they are going, the Flyers may sign him and throw him in an NHL game in the next week.by Jacob '06 - Hockey

Jeff Hopkins '82 Robb CowbellGuy 32,146 unique visitors from 107 countries That's pretty incredible. I think I viewed from about 8 different countries this year myself. I also wonder which country my visits from CERN were credited to, since it's technically not in Switzerland or France... I know I viewed it from Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, and Panama. And I covereby Jacob '06 - Hockey
Re: Canadiens sign Brendon Nash to 2-Year Deal - 14 years ago
Robb ajh258 There's a lot of hate in there for Cornell, but he correctly points out that we don't have a lot of NHL talent going through the pipeline and the incentive for him to sign right now is not as great if he just waits for next August. If there's really that much conflict between Nash and the Oilers, the better thing would be to stay with us and search for more compatible teams. I think tby Jacob '06 - Hockey
Re: UNH 6 Cornell 2 postgame - 14 years ago
Jeff Hopkins '82 My first instinct on the goal was that it hit the post. I even turned to Tom Pasniewski and went "clank!" But then Tom said to me he didn't hear a clank (and come to think of it nor did I). It never occurred to me that it went through the net until after the review. The thing that still confuses me is the radical change in direction the puck took as it hit the net.by Jacob '06 - Hockey

Re: Odds that Donahue stays? - 14 years ago
Roy 82 mnagowski Roy 82 Here is a dumb question: Why doesn't Cornell just offer Donahue a bigger salary next season? The indirect financial benefit to Cornell by having a successful BBall program would more than make up for the cost. I have no doubt that Cornell will try to increase his salary to retain him. But it's not clear to me that there's a huge financial benefit. Are you increasinby Jacob '06 - Other Sports

Greenberg '97 Larry72 In the 2003 Frozen Four semi-final game against UHN, Shane Palahicky scored the first goal during the first period on a shot deflection. The "ref" waived the goal off saying that Shane deflected the puck with a high stick. The "ref" was incorrect according to all the replays that followed that showed Shane's stick below the cross-bar as it deflected theby Jacob '06 - Hockey

Re: 2010 NCAA hockey regional ticket situation - 14 years ago
RichH cumak If I purchase tickets from the box office Friday afternoon, after the first game is over, will they still make me pay $45 for the two-game session? Or, will they be selling single-game tickets at that point? I called the box office and was told that they will only sell the two-game session, but I'm wondering if she was just saying that or if it is really true. Does anyone know fromby Jacob '06 - Hockey
Re: Cornell NCAA Basketball - 14 years ago
ugarte ESPN noted that the home court advantage may not be as good as we were hoping: Kentucky travels insanely well and they had a day to buy tickets before the Wisconsin game. Booooooooooooo! I was watching the tickets on stubhub for about an hour after our game ended. The cheapest went from 68 bucks to 99 bucks in that time. This could have also been influenced by the WVU game ending aroundby Jacob '06 - Other Sports
Re: Cornell Women's Hockey - 14 years ago
Kyle Rose BTW, Tom, do you know if Johnston gets a redshirt for this year's absence, or did she lose a year of eligibility? Was she even enrolled at Cornell this year? Not knowing what i'm talking about, I don't know how she could lose a year of eligibility if she wasn't enrolled in school.by Jacob '06 - Hockey
Re: Cornell Women's Hockey - 14 years ago
Cornell seems to be dominating time of posession and pressure on offense, but I think UMD has actually had the better scoring chances so far. We just haven't been able to generate good shots off of the cycle.by Jacob '06 - Hockey
Re: Cornell NCAA Basketball - 14 years ago
Beeeej Apologies if this has been asked elsewhere, I have a few hundred unread messages - do we have any idea with any measure of certainty whether Cornell vs. Wisconsin will be on CBS or CBS-HD rather than having to find it on DirecTV? I am otherwise committed until this game will be over, and I'm DVRing. WCBS in NYC has the Cornell game listed on their website.by Jacob '06 - Other Sports

Re: You Are the Committee - 14 years ago
ansky629 Michigan finished off Northern 2-1. Looks like it will be Denver-RIT and Cornell-Northern in Albany next weekend. I still am not sure whether it'll be Albany or St. Paul. Hopefully having RIT and Cornell there will make the attendance issue push them over the edge to put it in Albany.by Jacob '06 - Hockey
