Re: Raffle Set to Distribute Hockey Tickets - 21 years ago
Do they charge for field hockey, men's soccer, and women's basketball? I don't think they did when I was there. My last few years I don't think that they directly charged students for anything but hockey (though it was included as an activity fee that everyone had to pay); you just needed to show up with ID.by ugarte - Hockey

Re: New policy for Cornell at Harvard tickets - 21 years ago
I suspect that walk-up sales will not cost $44. Two of the games will already have been played, and I doubt that they are going to stick people with the RPI ticket. I think they figure (correctly) that fewer people will travel if they don't have tickets in advance. In any event, scalped tickets will certainly be less than $44.by ugarte - Hockey

Re: Umberger Out At Ohio State - 21 years ago
The article sort of addresses what is going on here, but not really. Is Umberger leaving the team to avoid injury? Because he would lose eligibility (and possibly cause the team to forfeit games) if he negotiates during the season? Because he has already crossed a line that the NCAA says he can't? Either way, he was a non-entity in the BC-OSU game in Providence last year.by ugarte - Hockey

Very glass-half-empty, calgARI. I think it is a great sign that so many players lasted so far into training camp. Lenny is still very young and there are goalies in front of him in Phoenix - his future is very bright. Murray and Bâby both received very good notices in their camps, and I would be surprised if neither got some time in the NHL this year. The developments with Underhillby ugarte - Hockey

Re: Hobey 2004 - 21 years ago
Not really. If last year is any indication, a goalie isn't going to win for a long time. And it is very hard for a defenseman to win also. Chicks dig goals. By the way, I didn't like reading in the Welch profile that Harvard is the favorite to win the ECAC. Do people agree?
