The Battle of Michigan is a great game. 2-2 halfway through the third.by ugarte - Hockey

Trotsky USHL. The Times regrets the error. It was not a shot. Rayhill hosted the Cornell 2024 video and was fantastic. Far better than the "talent" that comes out of Bristol.i didn't think it was. it's the offseason and we're arguing in the denver game thread over how much is the right amount of pain to feel. time to get stupid.by ugarte - Hockey
Re: Recruits 2024 and Beyond - 26 days ago
Trotsky If it's possible to hold guys for another year of USCHO seasoning, now would be when to do it.... If Rayhill has been a healthy scratch for 3 years I guess he will be pursuing a fine career in sports journalism...interestingby ugarte - Hockey

BearLover My point isn’t that this was not a strong year. It was a great year. The ECAC championship was awesome. I will look back on it fondly for a long time. My point is that all of this is meaningless in the context of today’s game. These tropes make us feel better about the crushing loss, but they don’t mean it’s not a crushing loss. Like, we could tell ourselves it was a great year in one mby ugarte - Hockey
Re: NCAA QF - Denver - 27 days ago
BearLover The NCAA quarterfinals, like all hockey games, exists in a vacuum. It doesn’t matter how you got there, or how good your chance is of getting back there in the future. Once the puck drops, that all goes out the window. Cornell played very well, against one of the best teams in the country, but, for the sixth time in a row in this game, we lost. It’s crushing and gutting and I don’t careby ugarte - Hockey

Iceberg AIC couldn't have gone to Springfield since the site is their home rink. They probably would've played BU or BCinteresting! i guess they shared some of the administrative burden and revenue from hosting?by ugarte - Hockey
Re: NCAA Tournament 2024 - 27 days ago
Here's a question: based on the boards, it looked like UMass and AIC were the co-hosts of the Springfield regional. What happens if AIC beats RIT in the AHA final?* There's no way they send two four-band teams to play in Springfield, right? *Do not say "according to YATC an AIC win would have eliminated UMass" even if it is true.by ugarte - Hockey

scoop85 We had as good a look as you could want. Unbelievable save against Walsh. Unbelievable.shades of the 2003 semi hard-fought finish to a very weird year. postseason felt like house money tbh. look at that attachment. that's how we played down the stretch of the season. then we caught a huge break by having SLU take out Quinny; our road to a conference title wasn't materially harder tby ugarte - Hockey
Re: NCAA QF - Denver - 27 days ago
Dafatone Easy to say in retrospect, but when you lose your stick, just go get your stick. I'm sure this isn't what guys do for a good reason, but the stick wasn't that far away. Til a Denver guy knocked it to the corner, which he's not supposed to do, but oh well.i think Schafer was pointing out out to no avail. i don't think he could get his stick because he was busy shoving his man out of Shby ugarte - Hockey

scoop85 On the DU goal the puck skittered past a couple of our guys near the blue line and their guy got off a great wrister. I still liked our game.i agree with RichH that it took us a few minutes to get going but we had the better of that period. we are ruining their structure on offense and they don't seem comfortable with the pressure we're putting on their defense. lot of hockey to play butby ugarte - Hockey

chimpfood Great game, I’m satisfied with a Q win.Q hit another post then Wisconsin fell asleep on a diagonal pass from blueline to blueline, easy zone entry, centered to a guy skating in on the goalie and someone nominated for the Richter got pantsed and sent home.by ugarte - Hockey

Iceberg 1-1 between BC and Michigan Tech in the 1st. Michigan Tech with one of the best PK's I've seen this year with a SHG includedMTU won the opening draw and had a great scoring opportunity then BC took the puck up ice and scored on their first possession.by ugarte - Hockey

have you ever listened to an interview of someone who got a cochlear implant late in life? one of the hardest challenges is filtering out background noise because they haven't had their whole life to learn which sounds are the relevant ones. here, we are all experienced enough to know the difference and still we can't help but shout back at the noise.by ugarte - Hockey
