And a little perspective on the goalie situation... The Red also found another goaltender to complement CCM first-team All-American, junior David McKee, and senior Louis Chabot, in freshman Dan DiLeo. DiLeo was the goaltender for the Wichita Falls (Texas) Wildcats in the North American Hockey League, the same league McKee played in before suiting up for the Red. Does this make sense? First they announce the conclusion and then they create a committee to have proposed the new rules.Commissioner Gary Bettman, who presented the package to the Board, also formally announced the creation of a new Competition Committee which was responsible for formulating and recommending the proposed slate of rules changes for approval by the NHL Board of Governors.by David Harding - Hockey

It was The Chariot that closed last week. The lease was up and it wasn't as profitable as the owner wanted. After moving some of the restaurant equipment to The Nines, the rest has been (or will be) auctioned off. It's old, but good, solid stuff. It took five people to haul the dough mixer up the steps. Chicago and Baby advance to finals - 18 years ago
As previously noted, the Chicago Wolves beat Manitoba 4 games to 0 to advance to the finals of the Calder Cup. Bâby has played in the last 6 of the Wolves' 14 playoff games so far, getting his chance due to an injury to Karl Stewart. He is the only player on the team with a negative +/- in the playoffs (-1). Re: How fast can you shoot a lacrosse ball? - 18 years ago
Thanks, Ben. I was wondering how much advantage a lacrosse player got from the extra lever arm compared to a baseball pitcher. It's not a perfect comparison, especially under game conditions, but not totally unreasonable either, so I'm somewhat surprised that it isn't a bit faster. I'm doing a physics of sports presentation.
