Re: NCAA Round 1 - Maine - 7 weeks ago
cth95 I was a dairy farmer and always worked when I was sick. I would want to play. The difference is, I was helping people by getting my chores done so they didn't have to do extra work. On a team in an important game, you would be hurting your teammates if you tired quickly and your reflexes were slower than normal. As a goalie, a split second can be the difference between a great save andby BearLover - Hockey

Al DeFlorio Cornell would be better prepared for tomorrow night's game if we had played a Hockey East schedule this year. Four HEA teams made the NCAAs this year. Had Q won the ECACs, there would have been one ECAC team, and it wouldn't have been Cornell, despite a twenty win season. I don't buy your self-serving logic, BearLover, one bit. Winning the ECACs was much more satisfying when Cby BearLover - Hockey

Pghas pjd8 BearLover RichH BearLover I’ll get yelled at for saying this, but…turns out having five draft picks in your freshman class (maybe six, if Robertson gets picked this year) is a good thing. And, in another one of BearLover’s Classic Takes, the conference being weak this year helped us too…to win a championship, the teams we had to beat were ranked 50th, 29th, and 43rd in the PWR… Ah, bby BearLover - Hockey

Iceberg chimpfood On the CHN podcast today Adam said that he supports teams being able to host regionals in their own rinks but should only play there if they are a one or two seed. To me, this makes no sense to not just do home games for the first two rounds. Firstly, it shows that he has no issue with schools hosting NCAA games in their home rink and this system doesn’t eliminate home advantageby BearLover - Hockey

fastforward BearLover Dunc Unfortunately for us students a lot of people may have Prelims the Thursday before spring break - I imagine some will try to come on Saturday tho if we advance Hopefully the hockey players don’t. Most of them do and they have to leave 2 days ahead so they may miss several So how’s that gonna work?by BearLover - Hockey

ER Wow those are some bold, completely unsubstantiated projections. I was in the Greek system and never knew of or saw anyone “doing coke” at a party. I don’t even think it was a thing when I was in school. Way to perpetuate the rumors that all Greeks like to do is party though. Not sure when you attended Cornell, but I know for a fact there are multiple fraternities and sororities where doing coby BearLover - Hockey

upprdeck at large vs auto does nothing to the seedings. the autos could be 13-16 just as easy as an at large Not this year. This year, the autobids are 15 and 16. EDIT: I meant the autobids from AHA and CCHA.by BearLover - Hockey
Re: ECAC Final - St. Lawrence?! - 7 weeks ago
upprdeck just avoid BC is the goal. Omaha is hot 12-13 would mean msu of Ndak before they play with it We can’t possibly play BC, right? They’re the #1 overall, so they’d get one of the auto-bids.by BearLover - Hockey

Iceberg ER What if we had lost tonight? From what I've read there would've been no shot at an at-large as 14-16 would've been taken up by the AHA, CCHA, and SLU. And as far as next week, it seems that a re-match with Denver is inevitable, although in the western regional this time Better than having to play BU or BC.by BearLover - Hockey

After all the shit that has happened to this program the last few seasons, from getting jobbed in the title game in 2019 to being big favorites in 2020 and the season getting canceled to it again being canceled in 2021 to badly outplaying Colgate in 2022 but losing to the OT loss versus Harvard last year—I’m glad the puck FINALLY bounced Cornell’s way for once. Re: Lake Placid-2024 - 7 weeks ago
Can someone explain what the problem with Albany was? If you live in the tri-state area it is easily accessible. Lake Placid is not. Many more fans would be able to attend the games if it were held in a more central location like Albany. Was Albany attendance not higher than Lake Placid? Personally, I’m probably never making it up to Lake Placid, but Albany would be easy for me and I’d go most/alby BearLover - Hockey

BearLover ugarte BearLover ugarte By the end of that period it's fair to say we were not getting outplayed. Great work by Castagna to stay with the puck and attack the net to take the lead.
