Fuck Censorship in the Ass - 20 years ago
Apparently we need to check which words we are allowed to say, cuz I guess censorship is in full swing. My "Nickerson Sucks / Murphy Sucks" was taken away from me, cuz apparently "sucks" is now an unallowable word. I went to ask someone who I guess was Sue Detzer. She informed me it's not a proper word. Oddly, she said this while holding an infant in her arms. I guess it'by French Rage - Hockey
Re: Hornby, Vesce, Marr, Wallace - 20 years ago
C'mon, it's Hornby's last college game, and probly his last overall. Why not pump up the crowd for next season and let him leave on a high note by just taking some clarkson player into the corner and wailing on him til he cant take it no more?by French Rage - Hockey
Re: Game 3 Postgame thread - 20 years ago
Awwww, the poor thing. I don't think he's getting much sympathy here. I remarked during the chat tonight that I don't think we've had such enmity towards an individual player on an opposing team in quite a while. Boucher, perhaps. Here's hoping Nickerson doesn't become our nemesis for the next three years. Yeah, but with any luck the injury will complicate and he'll never be able to walk againby French Rage - Hockey
Re: Nickerson Has Syphilis - 20 years ago
Yeah, cause that's fun. Something like "Let's Go Red" is too cliche. Here's what I got so far, trying to think of more: GOLDEN SHOWERS, MURPHY BEATS HIS WIFE, and RPI REJECTS. BEND OVER is also a possibility.by French Rage - Hockey
Nickerson Has Syphilis - 20 years ago
Basically, what happened was I was walking up the aisle and a cop asked to take it. Not angry or mean or anything, so I just gave it to him and told him I wanted to pick it up after the game, so not to cause trouble. I talked to him later in the aisle, which is probly what everyone saw, to ask both where I could pick it up and why it was being taken. They basically said something about publicby French Rage - Hockey

Nickerson Home Phone - 20 years ago
Does anyone know ways to go about finding a player's home phone number? I got Nickerson's hometown and parent's name via the Clarkson web site, but their name doesnt show up under whitepages.com.by French Rage - Hockey

Re: worst trip ever - 20 years ago
I have to echo more or less what Mike said, having waited for him for a period before we just gave up and went back. It's nice that the Colgate students apparently wandered upon a team that is doing good and decided to attend solely for that reason, becuase they sure as shit weren't there last year. It's funny theyre whining about us taking their seats when maybe 30 of them were there last yearby French Rage - Hockey
Re: Vintage Jersey- What Year? - 20 years ago
A good resource is the south wall of Lynah behind Sections A-E. All the team photos are mounted there. Provided you can get to Lynah easily. In my experience, you can always get in to Lynah unless it's like 3 in the morning (or, of course, a game where you don't have a ticket).by French Rage - Hockey

Re: Reflections on the weekend; thinking about the future - 20 years ago
I think given what the team had had to work with they are in good shape. They lost important chunks of last year's team, but starting coalescing early and have improved throughout the year. While they are not the 5 loss team of last year, they are still one of the better teams in the conference and the league, and despite being young and having a few kinks still have a team most schools would kby French Rage - Hockey
Re: short-handed goals - 20 years ago
I'd chalk up the goose eggs to luck, but I think the other two factors have been at play in recent years. Cornell had three shorthanded goals in 1999-2000, 2 in 2000-01, 5 in 2001-02, and none since. 10 shorties in four and a half seasons is due to more than luck. We had 3 in 00-01 and 5 in 01-02??? I probly forgot them, but is there a list anywhere? I think it's mostly the system. SHGs areby French Rage - Hockey

Re: Game thread: Cornell 1 at Brown 1 - 20 years ago
Well, Dartmouth lost too, so overall we still have the edge in the ECAC in pts/gm (since Brown has played alot more games). This will hurt in PWR as long as Brown is a TUC, but the Dartmouth game in 2 weeks will still be important in this regard. Overall, a close and tough game. I still think, as they head back home for 9 home games in the remaining 14, that the team is in a good situation comby French Rage - Hockey
