Re: Red and White pre-game - 12 years ago
A very enjoyable format for the Red and White - a lot of families and kids there. If you can make the Red and White game it is an enjoyable evening! Hard to tell in a scrimmage with this format --> some initial impressions; Madison Dias, Joel Lowry, and Cole Badraeu showed speed and hustle; and Ferlin and McCarron and Hudon bring size. Both Ryan and MacDonald looked good on defense.by profudge - Hockey

Colin Greening had 22+ minutes of ice time in a 7-1 loss to the Avalanche. Considering that Ottawa played terribly, his -1 for the night seems good given his ice time. Anyone who saw the game have a comment?by profudge - Hockey

Colin Greening will be wearing jersey number 14 for the Sens next season: J Lindsay . . . Greening was also in a much higher number during his NHL time last season, wearing 52 up top. He wore 15 at Cornell and with the B-Sens, but that belongs to Zack Smith, so looks like he went with the closest available option. . . . ... if my counting is accurate, that means the Senators will open trby profudge - Hockey

Trotsky Firefly was never cancelled. It's just on hiatus. . . . I too pray for this truth! After watching the East regional I have to say That Yale played hard and reasonably well - but ran into a Minn-Duluth team that had the horses and the foot speed to stay with Yale and maybe a bit more. Any comments on the end of game (after final whistle) scrum down in our offensive end corner along the boards - One of Q players pushed/punched Joe Devin at least three times with his hockey glove in chest and mask - as far as I could see no penalties called - and credit to Joe he kept his cool. Although a lot of talking going on! We gave up a lot of passes right onto Q sticks but the poby profudge - Hockey

From the Binghamton Sens blog in the Binghamton paper: Joy Lindsey Eventually, three individual shoving matches were going on around Levasseur, and then Greening and Mirasty's turned ugly, leading to Greening's second pro fight. Cornell seemed to overwhelm the USA U18s was my impression. A bit bigger - and 3 - 4 years older seemed to make a difference. Give the USA team credit they came back hard in the second period and in pushing hard on offense and being aggressive Cornell was able to counter attack with several 2 - 1 breaks. Re: Cornell 6 UQTR 3 - 13 years ago
Couple of observations: We did poorly on face offs first 2 periods and finally started getting better in 3rd - looks like an area we need to work on. First period we were hustling and QTR was not fore-checking hard - In the Second and Third they pressured us more in our end and were more successful at holding puck in our zone some. Patrick Kennedy did not play. QTR goal on the PP was a prettby profudge - Hockey
