Re: Cornell alumni email forwarding - 4 years ago
I believe they are moving their mail hosting to Gmail and are just asking you to log in to the Cornell Gmail account to set your forwarding address. You should be able to forward to any email you want.by Jacob '06 - John Spencer Is Dead

Robb George64 In slo-mo, the net appears to bulge.Sure does. I really can't make out the puck until it's already back out, but the net should not move like that from a crossbar strike. I lose the puck once it gets around the goalie until it pops back out. I can't tell if it is actually the net bulging, or if it is that water droplet on the glass distorting the image as the camera moves a littlby Jacob '06 - Hockey

marty Jim Hyla scoop85 FYI, tonight's game against Dartmouth is being shown on Time Warner cable (channel 199 in the Hudson Valley). Well, at least some consolation for being without MSG. Thanks, on in CNY as well. I've put it on the list. If others find that it's on their local TW channel please post it. This game is listed on channel 1 in the Albany/Troy TW area. ugarte OK, so Cornell is out of 400 level seats and Ticketmaster/MSG's best available suck ("Limited View". Anyone know who to call at BU? The Agannis Arena number says to contact ticketmaster. Looks like I'm f'd unless someone has an extra pair in the 400s? Maybe? I assume you tried putting in "BU section" on ticketmaster/MSG. I'm curious what the deal was with the Harvard assistant coach trying to show the referee some piece of paper. The commentators were saying many players get their sticks checked before the game, I'm wondering if the coaching staff keeps track of this and was saying that his stick had been approved.by Jacob '06 - Other Sports

Jim Hyla Al DeFlorio Quint continues to like Pannell: D- Pace of play - Soccer scores don't strengthen the game's argument as the fastest on two feet. Too much standing around, waiting for endless substitutions, coupled with conservative zone defenses, and cautious offensive schemes have left fans craving excitement. Scersk '97 scoop85 Union now down 2-0 with 13 min left. Another ECAC team that underperforms? But, honestly, if Yale makes it past Air Force, I can't see whoever wins this game winning against the Bulldogs. That was really confusing b/c UMD are also the Bulldogs.by Jacob '06 - Hockey

Trotsky Is team scoring a simple function of x points for advancing to this round, y for this round, etc? It also figures how the match was won, more points for a win by 8 or more points, even more for a technical fall (15 points), and the most points for a pin.by Jacob '06 - Other Sports

I always figured the teams just exchanged tapes of themselves with their opponents on the assumption that if they didn't, the other conference teams would just swap them around. It may just be that the TV broadcast was likely a better tape than whatever the team normally does with a camcorder.by Jacob '06 - Hockey

ugarte Lane had the team's only loss of the day, but it was a close loss to a guy I think he was expected to lose to. And not without some drama. He had a reversal and backs at the end of the 2nd period, but they forgot to run the clock. After much discussion the referee decided to just give him the escape instead of the reversal and no backs. billhoward Could Paille have delivered a check that was more check and less corporal punishment? Certainly. This is the problem. As Bob McKenzie pointed out after that game, Paille could have easily taken the puck without making the hit. I can buy the classes are smaller and more interaction with professors part, but I don't see how opportunities for undergraduate research are greater at a small liberal arts college. It may be easier for the college to encourage undergrads to do research there, but there are so many more labs with more diverse opportunities for research at a larger research university.
