Re: CORNELL WINS 2025 MENS LACROSSE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP! - 6 weeks ago
Jeff Hopkins '82 Weder If you want some natty merch: Only one item actually says "Cornell". All the others simply have the nondescript "C" logo. Meh. I'll wait to see what Cornell comes up with. Also, no offense to Long, but I want my national champion T-shirt to have #15 on it.....or 21.by Robb - Other Sports

Cop at Lynah I think it will be quick, first or second possessionI’m just hoping the whole team just lets the game come to them, rather than trying to force it to Kirst. Two or three poorly set up shots and you’re suddenly starting the game 0-2. I’d much rather start the game 5-0 with Kirst not getting anything until 24 minutes in…..to use a random example.by Robb - Other Sports

scoop85 BearLover scoop85 BearLover Since this was debated by others awhile back, I went on insidelacrosse.com to see how our recruiting is looking. For 2025’s entering class, we are holding our own. Our recruiting is around that of the other Ivies. The ACC is dominating, however, with Duke, UVA, UNC, and Notre Dame way ahead of the Ivies. For 2026’s entering class, which was the point ofby Robb - Other Sports

Cop at Lynah The radio guys said that the officiating crew was from LI and are thus really good, they then make several comments about the officials missing several calls throughout the contest With the win Cornell's RPI moved up to #5. ah, but you forgot that this year the committee added the criteria for teams with the best wins on days with a full moon minus bad losses on days with the tempby Robb - Other Sports
Re: NCAAs quarterfinal Cornell vs. BU - 3 months ago
Count me in the 1000% proud camp. It would have been so easy for this team to mail it in - they had every excuse in the world NOT to put in the extra effort it must have taken to gel late Feb & March with a completely different lineup than they had a month before. Their record was already a millstone around their necks - by the time everyone got healthy, it was clear we were going on the roby Robb - Hockey

On the major, it sure seemed to me like Walsh reached out and had his hand at/near the top of the BU player's head, and Walsh's hand only went down to the facemask when the REF tommahawk-chopped his forearm as he was trying to break up the altercation. Anyone else see that?by Robb - Hockey

scoop85 BearLover scoop85 Give My Regards Robb How fitting to beat Clarkson, once again...on an icing that wasn't. It really looked like icing to me, but I'm sure as hell not going to ask Doug Christiansen about it Because Bancroft was clearly ahead of the Clarkson Dman at center ice, I think it was a proper call. It’s not about who’s ahead at center ice, it’s about who’s ahead at the dot. Bby Robb - Hockey

Re: Recruits 2024 and Beyond - 1 year ago
marty It says a lot about the players too. Think of a second string wrestler who is essentially the practice partner for a first stringer. John Irving, the author, talks about not being able to complete 4 years at Pitt (I think it was Pitt) as a practice partner. And he thinks those that can do that have character that many do not. It takes more skill than I can tell to play the second fiddleby Robb - Hockey
