Trotsky abmarks Trotsky RobbKeeps Cornell in the running to get to 10 first. This. Damn... Nice run by Michigan, winning in 51,52,53,55,56. Scoured the list to see who bumped them off in 54. Shocked to see it was RPI! It was Ned Harkness. The RPI win over Michigan was in the semis. RPI defeated Minnesota in OT in the finals.by ursusminor - Hockey

Al DeFlorio George64 BearLover upprdeck seeing the loss numbers for Dryden and Cropper is just so insane. Galajda also insane. He would have the all time wins record if not for COVID. Dryden and Cropper only played varsity for three years, too. I saw one freshmen game where Ken played forward. It was abundantly clear why he was a goalie! Think Dryden was a skater in the varsity-freshman game.by ursusminor - Hockey

RichH chimpfood Still crazy to me how bad Shane got shafted on the richter. Having Mbereko over him is heinous. What’s the richter? You mean the National Ken Dryden award? That’s what it should be called. Maybe it's the Richter scale which measures how much the clock is shaking.by ursusminor - Hockey

Chris '03 jtwcornell91 billhoward St. Lawrence definitely helps attendance in Lake Placid. Clarkson a bit more. Clarkson 3700 students St. Lawrence 2200 students The best possible ECAC-in-Placid turnout would be Cornell, Clarkson, St. Lawrence and, um, pick one, maybe RPI. It is about 80 miles from Clarkson (+5 for St Lawrence) to Lake Placid but it is dark (well, yeah), twisty roadby ursusminor - Hockey

Trotsky RPI finished dead last in the ECAC for the first time since 1967. RPI was tied with DC that season. It was the previous year that the Engineers were last alone. RPI did not play DC in 66-67, and I don't know if there were tie breakers. There were none needed since who made the playoffs was decided in a smoke-filled room.by ursusminor - Hockey

Give My Regards ursusminor After Friday, you will know that RPI doesn't have much power, and the penalty kill is at the bottom of the NCAA. In other words, exactly the kind of team that Cornell fans should be worried about at this point. RPI is due to upset someone. ursusminor With RPI hanging on to beat Brown, Harvard is last in the ECAC standings. If the RPI women could get a league win, both Harvard teams would be in 12th. RPI did sweep UVM this weekend by identical 5-1 scores. According to USCHO, this has already happened since they gave RPI 2 league victories for the sweep of UVM. Well, they once were in the ECAC. Trotsky ursusminorThen that is off by a factor of about 2 which is not nearly as inaccurate as the RPI women's odds given. chimpfood I don’t think the ECAC Is ever quite as bad as it seems, it’s just that the lower tier of the conference are always trying to punch up in out of conference games instead of playing teams at their level. I can only comment on RPI. We certainly seem to be doing that this year, but last year we mainly played AHA teams.by ursusminor - Hockey
