Includes: 1979 Game 7 - Montreal/Bruins 1975 Soviet Red Army/Montreal I'm currently watching a 1978 Montreal/Bruins playoff game on CBC. I'm assuming it'll be available online with the others soon.by cquinn - Hockey

Paille received a 4 game suspension and a $23,118.28 fine for the hit on Sawada.by cquinn - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros - February 2011 - 13 years ago
Sawada called up to Dallas and must really be seeing stars...saw the hit on NESN, this from Boston.com... " Under the provisions of NHL Rule 48, Daniel Paille was sent off for a 5-minute major and match penalty for a headshot after he leveled Raymond Sawada with a crunching blindside hit in which Paille's elbow caught Sawada in the head." Announcers believe the play will be reviewedby cquinn - Hockey

Re: Cornell Matching Financial Aid - 13 years ago
The Early Decision pool generally doesn't apply to anyone who needs to see their financial aid package before making a decision. Can't commit to a school in November when you won't know if you can afford it until April. I suppose you could make some assumptions if you're dealing with one of the schools that goes heavy on the grants, but that would be a bit risky.by cquinn - Hockey

I'll be there, +3.by cquinn - Hockey
Re: 2010 NCAA hockey regional ticket situation - 14 years ago
I called the Times Union Center using 518-487-2000 to get the information on Cornell's section. I was able to get tickets in 117 and 119 by calling the 800# and purchasing each day separately. All-Session Pass was cheaper but seat selection for that package was limited and lousy. Ticket agent said there was no re-entry between Friday games. Can anyone confirm that?by cquinn - Hockey
Re: 2010 NCAA hockey regional ticket situation - 14 years ago
Times Union Center confirmed that Cornell is begin allocated tickets in section 118.by cquinn - Hockey

Any guesses on price for the single-game tickets? Any way to find out which sections are set for Cornell before 10am tomorrow?by cquinn - Hockey

Re: Denver Bound! NC$$ Hockey Lottery Results - 16 years ago
Got 2 tickets to the FF. Priority 7. Same problem with the Lynah season tickets. Would like to attempt to upgrade but there's no way I can be there in person.by cquinn - Hockey
Re: Frozen Four Seating/Roll Call - 17 years ago
Section 122, Row AA, Seats 7 & 8. Even though I'll be selling the tickets, I'm pleased that I received seats that aren't BYO-oxygen.by cquinn - Hockey
Re: Lynah East and/or Dartmouth Roll Call - 17 years ago
I'll be @Dartmouth only, with 3 others including the 6-week-old. Her first Cornell game. Awwww. Wish I could make it to Lynah East but we can make it to NH and back in one night but Cambridge would be an overnight. Not ready for that with the little one. Yet.by cquinn - Hockey
Re: Frozen Four results letters - 17 years ago
Got mine. Accepted. I think my priority number was 6. I'd be interested in knowing people's priority numbers to get an idea of the odds by priority.by cquinn - Hockey
Re: Frozen Four Seating - 18 years ago
My tickets are in Row U of either section 400 or 422. It was one of the center sections. Don't remember which one offhand. BYO-oxygen seats, but in the building. I'm not planning on going no matter what. If the team goes, I'll be there.by cquinn - Hockey
Re: NC$$ ding letter - 18 years ago
I got my letter, too, and I received four tickets. I think I'm only one priority number lower than Beeeej and so far have never been denied tickets. Usually get horrible seats, but I'm in the building.by cquinn - Hockey
Re: Albany Roll Call - 19 years ago
Or were you thinking of the East Regional in '96 at Albany - I defintely remember a bunch of annoying UVM seat-hoarders at that one. I just remember P.C. Drouin's shot ringing off the crossbar late in the game. I think you can still hear the echo.by cquinn - Hockey
Re: Tickets in Minneapolis - 19 years ago
I expect scalper tickets for this to be much harder to come by than the east regionals. Most of the tickets have probably been bought by Minnesota fans and Minnesota will definitely be there.by cquinn - Hockey
Re: Syracuse - Vermont @ 7:10, Friday - 19 years ago
The UVM coach is also a morning radio DJ. He was complaining about ticket allotment this morning. They only have 300 tickets available for Vermont fans. Otherwise the place is sold out so the fans will have to look to the scalpers. With that scenario, I doubt that the hoops game will pull many people away from Albany.by cquinn - Hockey
Re: Free Parking @ Lynah East - 19 years ago
The Tavern on the Charles Bar and Grill at 1234 Soldiers Field Road is in the Days Inn, which is also a good place to stay. Resonable rates and they have never charged for parking.by cquinn - Hockey
Vermont - 19 years ago
Just a heads up for those Faithful heading to the UVM game...the parking lot at Gutterson is completely torn up. They are constructing a parking garage. There are satellite parking lots with shuttle bus service to the rink. Plan your arrival time accordingly.by cquinn - Hockey
Re: Michigan State - Roll Call - 19 years ago
I'll be there for the Friday game only. Section F, Row 10, Seat 11. Got the ticket through Cornell so section F must be for visitors. Will be wearing a white Mark McRae jersey.by cquinn - Hockey
Re: Season Tickets - 19 years ago
This is similar to the line process from the early 90s except that they did not issue line numbers immediately back then. Since a web site didn't exist, the line location was announced through the Daily Sun and VBR. Since those media outlets needed advanced notice, especially the paper, your place in line was directly proportional to the degrees of separation between you and a staff member of tby cquinn - Hockey
Re: FF tix - anyone heard? - 19 years ago
Good news for me. I'm getting four tickets. The scary part of the letter was the bit about possible changes to the priority system, which would suck for me. The letter listed several options under consideration, including ditching the priority system altogether. Sounds like they haven't decided on anything but are giving the priority people a heads up that we'll all be really pissed off sometby cquinn - Hockey
Re: Nieuwendyk in WHL? - 19 years ago
The latest rumor about Nieuwendyk on Hockey Night in Canada is that he and Gary Roberts are trying to find a deal as a pair. The HNIC commentator said that a young team looking for an infusion of character from some classy veterans couldn't ask for better. Damn straight.by cquinn - Hockey
Re: cornell 04-05 recruiting class - 19 years ago
Sperry is the headquarters for the Class of '94 for our 10th Reunion. All these spiffy new dorms on North and they stick us in the ones scheduled for demolition. I'm not that nostalgic.by cquinn - Hockey
