In reference to Barlow's misconduct, and the earlier argument, this is all in regards to a rule change this year. The referees don't have more discretion in this penalty, they actually have less. Any hitting from behind penalty this year that involves hitting someone into the boards is now automatically a 5 minute major and a 10 minute misconduct, with the referee able to call a game disqualificaby Jacob '06 - Hockey

Re: game worn jerseys avail. for sale - 18 years ago
Generally they don't get their new uniforms until a little bit into the season. Then after that it takes them a few weeks to take the nameplates off of the jerseys so that they are available for sale. You are best off visiting in person and asking him when he thinks they will be available.by Jacob '06 - Hockey

Pokulok has started picking up his physical game. I think that was the one complaint that the capitals had about him, so he might be trying to work on that. It was surprising to see him take 2 penalties right in a row in the first period.by Jacob '06 - Hockey

I think we need to propose student involvement in the development of the procedure. I think students will have more foresight on what the problems each procedure will create are. Also, as we've seen on this board, we've come up with some pretty good alternatives to this "surprise" procedure. So if anyone is writing letters to the sun about this, I would suggest that they develop a studeby Jacob '06 - Hockey

To cut them a little slack, I heard that the original plan was hampered slightly and caused part of this problem. Originally the Lynah doors were to be open and the line would form going straight through to where we got our numbers. However, there were already people inside lynah at the time of the announcement so they had to close the doors and get them out and make them go around. Of course, thby Jacob '06 - Hockey
