Re: CU @ WMU - 20 years ago
I'm intrigued and perplexed. Hopefully they'll be creative and not necessarily containing vulgar language, since I don't think it's right for kids to hold up signs like that.by Will - Hockey
Re: No More Townies - 20 years ago
I guess we could just say "Stand up" and not address those residing in sections H-N and C (and sometimes O) specifically at all. Would that be acceptable, NadaTownie et al? Of course, maybe I shouldn't be telling anyone to stand up, since I'm stuck in the sitting portion of G.by Will - Hockey

It’s Harvard’s job to make sure it’s their fans who line the ice and keep the absurd “Harvard Sucks” and the even more bizarre “Safety School” chants to light background noise. Huh? Absurd? Bizarre? I don't see anything absurd or bizarre in telling them the awful truth.by Will - Hockey

Can't say I'm surprised that Union lost (even if they were undefeated before tonight), but still, a 9-2 blowout?! That's just humiliating, no matter who you are or who you're playing.by Will - Hockey

So, time for my comments: - Bitz...well, yeah, I agree with everyone else, this guy is amazing. - The first WMU goal...yeah, Dell should have blown the whistle, but at the same time, McKee really should have had that puck. I'm afraid I might have spoken too soon about him. Though he did look good in the third period and OT. - Great rally by our boys to tie it up. - Hornby, without a doubt, isby Will - Hockey

Y'know, I didn't really have a problem with McKee's mask. I thought it was kinda cool, in a Halloween kind of way. Something red would be preferable, but there's always next year.by Will - Hockey

I have a poll suggestion: When does Cornell hockey season start for you? - The first captain's practice - The first official practice - The exhibition game (vs. U.S. Under-18) - The first NCAA game (vs. WMU) - The first ECAC game (vs. Yale) - The hockey season never ends!by Will - Hockey

Re: [OT] Throwing fish - 20 years ago
Faithful traditions should be kept among the Faithful, and with regard to a tradition like fish throwing, that should definitely be kept to Lynah. (Although the idea of tossing fish at Lynah East would be funny too, but that seems like a good way to get kicked out of the game early.)by Will - Hockey

Unless Marr improves significantly over the next few weeks and/or McKee isn't as good as we are making him out to be, I predict Marr to start on Fridays and McKee on Saturdays for the time being. I think things will change (or enough evidence will have mounted) by the BG/OSU weekend to choose one over the other, though. Re: Radio for US U-18 game? - 20 years ago
I pretty much agree with Avash. The first goal should definitely have been stopped by Marr--he should have leapt on top of it, but it stopped right behind him and he didn't see it, letting the Under-18er in to score easily. But McKee was really on top of things for his half of the game. Also, I really like his mask (two green robed skeletons with battle axes).by Will - Hockey

Toronto Jr. Aeros - 20 years ago
Today's Big Red Bulletin e-mail stated that hockey tickets would be given out at, among other games, a men's hockey game vs. the Toronto Jr. Aeros. Anyone heard anything about this game, or even about this team? I believe this is the first I've heard of it. The game supposedly takes place this Sunday at 2pm at Lynah.by Will - Hockey
