McKee is ECAC ROTW again! - 20 years ago
I didn't see this posted here yet: David McKee is ECAC Rookie of the Week for the second time this year (second time this month as well). Additionally, Mike Iggulden made the ECAC Honor Roll for his two goals against Ohio State. The Co-Players of the Week were Tom Cavanagh of Harvard and Jeff Miles of Vermont, and the Goalie of the Week was Yann Danis of Brown.by Will - Hockey
Re: Prospect Updates - 20 years ago
I was just about to say the same thing, Adam. One would think we'd pick up at least one defenseman, to compensate for Wallace's graduation. I'd feel much better if we had eight guys competing for playing time instead of seven.by Will - Hockey
Re: [sort of OT] cstv petition - 20 years ago
Yeah, we've been through this before: but that doesn't mean people who haven't yet signed it shouldn't sign it!by Will - Hockey
Re: Vermont impact - 20 years ago
Given the large number of problems concerning scheduling in going from a nine-team conference to a ten-team conference, I'd imagine Vermont won't be admitted until two other acceptable teams also submit applications to join Hockey East. That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if two or more other D-I programs, likely Atlantic Hockey teams, submitted applications before Frozen Four '04. I belieby Will - Hockey
Re: Polls 12/29 - 20 years ago
We moved up to #10...which is about high as any of us in #lynah last night thought we'd go, tops. That's certainly great for us.by Will - Hockey
Re: Anybody tape the games? - 20 years ago
You all realize, of course, that now if anybody has them on tape, they're gonna be hesitant to make copies for us all, now that there are seven of us (and counting) that want copies.by Will - Hockey
Re: Where is the pairwise ranking? - 20 years ago
The WCHA gets SEVEN teams into the tournament?! That's frickin' ridiculous. And only TWO from Hockey East, to boot...that's really sad for eastern teams.by Will - Hockey
Re: Iggulden = useless? - 20 years ago
Maybe we should just send Iggulden out against nonconference opponents, and ride his coattails to an at-large NCAA tournament bid.by Will - Hockey

Really love how my OCSN Wireless cell text message phrased today's victory: "CORNELL 4, EVERBLADES CLASSIC 3".by Will - Hockey
Re: Iggulden = useless? - 20 years ago
Iggulden's most certainly improved, and I think that's great. I would hope that all of our players are great and are really competing for playing time.by Will - Hockey

Make sure you update that for games still in progress or yet to be played tonight.by Will - Hockey
Re: audio for the game - 20 years ago
The sad part is, I believe one can actually listen to Ohio State hockey games for free on the net. However, there are only a few games that aren't broadcast on their local radio station (and thus not on the net), and the Everblades games are among them. ( )by Will - Hockey
Re: Game Thread: Cornell 4, Notre Dame 0 (FINAL) - 20 years ago
Notre Dame wins over Maine 1-0...undoubtedly, an indirect victory for us.by Will - Hockey
Re: Everblades 2004 - 20 years ago
I very much like the idea of a guaranteed game against BC. IMHO, we don't play enough games against HE teams each year. (Although, with only seven NC games, I guess that's what's gonna happen.)by Will - Hockey
Re: Game Thread: Cornell 4, Notre Dame 0 (FINAL) - 20 years ago
Am I crazy to have actually wished to take on Maine instead of Ohio State tomorrow? Granted, Maine has been ranked higher in the polls, but Ohio State already played us this year and would theoretically remember how we play better than Maine would.by Will - Hockey

Someone check my math: 151:39 of straight shutout time for McKee now, right?by Will - Hockey
Re: Where is the pairwise ranking? - 20 years ago
The official PWR is available in the meantime: EDIT: Meant to say 'unofficial', not 'official'. It should still be the same as what gets posted to USCHO eventually. Post Edited (12-27-03 18:53)by Will - Hockey
Re: CU Fans in the Wall Street Journal - 20 years ago
Ah...sex is equated with scoring. And here I thought they were trying to demonstrate that, contrary to popular belief, Minnesota students can spell short, monosyllabic words.by Will - Hockey
Re: CU Fans in the Wall Street Journal - 20 years ago
I'm fairly sure the author misheard/misremembered "Screw BU, Yale too!". Ken, you should send the author a correction. It probably won't do any good, but what the hell. Funny how a guy named Yost is criticizing how Michigan deals with its fans' profanities. I don't get the Minnesota "Give me an S! Give me an E! Give me an X! What's that spell? What's that spell?" cheer.by Will - Hockey
Re: Paolini with Murray in Cleveland - 20 years ago
From : Zalesak's goal, which gave the Barons a 2-0 lead at the 2:43 mark of the third period, was assisted by newcomer Sam Paolini and Tomas Plihal. Paolini, a native of Rochester, made his AHL debut as a call-up from Atlantic City in the ECHL. Doug Murray pulled out his hammer and delivered the final nail in the Rochester coffin with just 36-seconds to go in the game with a power play goal.by Will - Hockey

Re: Non-Students in the Student Section - 20 years ago
Before this argument becomes more pointless and stupid, let me ask a question, just to clarify something (perhaps only to myself): how does Age acquire his tickets each season? Are his seats 'reserved' by Athletics, so that only he can buy them? Do legitimate students buy his tickets and then give/sell them to him? I should also note that I'd like Age to continue to occupy his seats and run eLby Will - Hockey

Re: Vermont to Hockey East? - 20 years ago
The ECAC should NOT get any bigger than 12 teams, in order to give each conference opponent equal opportunities against each other and still allow the Ivies to play a decent amount of non-conference games.by Will - Hockey
