While I think it's a bad idea to go to Albany with the explicit intention of heckling all of the players in attendance, I will say that I had fun at the Harvard vs. Dartmouth semifinal last year, instead of saying "Goalie! Re: Clarkson excessive penalties - 20 years ago
I'm no expert, but let me say what USCHO's archives tell me: - Clarkson had the third-most penalty minutes in the ECAC this season, behind Vermont and Dartmouth. - Matt Nickerson alone accounted for over 20% of Clarkson's overall penalty minutes this season. - Clarkson led the ECAC (conference only) in penalty minutes the previous two seasons. I feel for Marr and Hornby, but at the same time, they know how the game is played. If the situation were different and the score was reversed (in other words, Cornell leading by 4), I'd have no doubt that Schafer would feel confident in putting all the (available) seniors on the ice for the final shift. Re: Captains for next year - 20 years ago
I have to believe that Vesce and Vesce alone will be the best judge as to whether or not he can play in any given game. Being the captain, I'm sure he knew all too well the potential ill effects of his absence from the game, but if he can't play, he can't play. If he could've been there, he would've been there, but he just couldn't do it for whatever reason. Don't hate the guy for it.by Will - Hockey

Re: Captains for next year - 20 years ago
I'd love for all of Knoepfli, Cook, Downs, and Iggy to get captain or assistant captain roles. I guess it's not outside the realm of possibility for all four to be given the 'C's and 'A's. I have a personal preference for Knoepfli, though, and hope he gets at least one of the 'C's.by Will - Hockey
