Re: Who do you want to win in AC? - 11 years ago
Union has to win, I've heard they will dominate the ECAC for the next decade.by French Rage - Hockey
Re: Quarterfinals at Q - 11 years ago
semsox FWIW, the Quinnipiac thread on USCHO mentioned that the games on both Friday and Saturday were already either sold out or SRO, likely excluding whatever allotment Cornell gets. Plus remember they've known when/where these games will be for two weeks (well for even more given how early they clinched the RS), so they've had plenty of time to sell the tickets.by French Rage - Hockey
Re: UN-Wallowing - 11 years ago
Looking at USCHO's figures, Princeton was averaging in the 1500s for a while and then bumped up to 1800s last year and 2200s this year.by French Rage - Hockey

Re: Cornell at Yale 2013 - 11 years ago
TimV toddlose Excuse my language here, but Princeton has to be sh**ting their pants with this match up. We have to be the last lower seeded team they want to see coming in for a 3 game set. RPI (The Institoot) isn't eager to see us either. An RPI thread on USCHO talking about Cornell? Re: 2013 ECAC Playoff Permutations - 11 years ago
Last year we wanted Dartmouth in the first round, and they took us into 2OT in one game, and Harvard in the semis, who beat us bad. The team we kept saying we didn't want, Colgate, we ended up beating. If we want to keep going, we just gotta win, regardless of who we play.by French Rage - Hockey

Re: Next Year's Finish (Poll) - 11 years ago
KeithK Just curious why there is no way to just View Results without voting? I don't have a strong feeling right now but I was curious what everyone else thought. So I voted #1, thinking that might be an outlier, but either 5 other folks had the same idea or else I was misreading general fan opinion around here. I will go out on a limb and predict that we will make the playoffs next year.by French Rage - Hockey
Re: Cornell football unofficial recruits list - 11 years ago
TimV billhoward Is there a football equivalent of dump-and-chase to keep up with quicker teams? Yep. Quick-kick on third and long, then have coverage force the turnover. You need Walt Harris as your coach to perfect that strategy.by French Rage - Other Sports

Trotsky TimV Trotsky ursusminor TimV We don't want to start sounding like RPI fans on USCHO that tend toward 50 page threads that are mostly decrying their persecution by the officials. They would be laughing behind their hands at us, since they are convinced, in spite of any measurable indicators (like team rank PIM) that you show them, that we always get a favorable whistle. Roy 82 Compared to using automation to drive a car down the road, automatically controlling an ice resurfacing machine is child's play. Is Google on this or should we go ahead and rake in our billions? But will the computer wear cool costumes while resurfacing the ice?by French Rage - Hockey
Re: The swim test - 11 years ago
jtn27 Trotsky imafrshmn My swim test happened on my move-in day. I remember being impressed by the size of the Teagle locker room... The row of urinals in there is remarkably long--even longer than the one in Barton, if I recall. My parents, god bless them, insisted on watching from the stands. The test itself was fine for me, and I don't think I witnessed anyone not make it. I don't believe in mby French Rage - John Spencer Is Dead

Willy '06 I definitely saw people puking after the swim test my Freshman year. That's because you took your shirt off. (Yeah I got nothin'.) I remember during mine it was after walking all the way up from West Campus, while it was raining, still on a new campus, so it was kind of wierd experience. I did the 3 lengths without much problem, but it took me like 10 attempts to actually lift myby French Rage - John Spencer Is Dead

Re: What makes a great/bad college hockey jersey? - 11 years ago
ugarte TheMatrix Instead of bumping an ancient thread on game worns, I'll just post this here. With the Red-White game out of the way, last year's game worn jerseys are available for purchase, $100 each. Only the away red jerseys are available; Bill said they didn't replace the whites for whatever reason. The nameplates have been removed.
