Re: Women 2023-24 - NCAA bracket - 2 months ago
NCAA bracket has Cornell in the Colgate-hosted regional Thursday 3/14 7pm EDT against Stonehill. Colgate as the 3-seed gets a first-round bye (as do #1 Ohio State and #2 Wisconsin, but not #4 Clarkson or #5 Minnesota). If Cornell advances, Colgate is a tough opponent Saturday, March 16, 3 pm. But the bottom bracket does not have #1 seed Ohio State. That is the tournament's toughest opponent.by billhoward - Hockey

Drizzly, cold (43 at 12 noon faceoff), thus only 212 fans. This is the kind of game that would benefit from being played in the pending field house. The offense is ahead of the defense. Hobart-Cornell lax - 2 months ago
Cornell clobbered Hobart by 16 goals Tuesday (final, 23-7) and it got me to thinking, Why are we playing such a poor team, maybe we should schedule another top ten or top twenty team. There's a number of reasons why: * Hobart is good competition (most years), it's a day trip, it's midweek. * We do win more often: 20 of 23 times this century, all but 18 times going back to the Ned Harkness eby billhoward - Other Sports
