Buy and sell tickets for Cornell hockey games
Re: 2025-26 Men's Schedule - Yesterday
Trotsky Isn't Princeton super weird, like they go from 0% sold to 100% sold but then you show up for a "sell out" and the building is 60% empty? Yes. They are in theory "sold out" to season ticket holders, then you show up on the day of the game and they have a few hundred seats to sell because of "no-shows".by Beeeej - Hockey

Trotsky I think Bearlover is saying that's us, too. We are just strings of impulses that evolved competitively. Caring is an illusion and what we are is a text processor that happened upon outputs that gave survival advantages. He's not saying AI is conscious, but that we aren't. That's an untestable thesis, because whenever we report a case of care he can respond "and that's just whby Beeeej - Hockey

stereax chimpfood Full schedule released Interesting that the scrimmage is against a Czech team and not a Canadian one. Four week homestand in the worst time of year, starting with two out of conference opponents that aren't very independently attractive... Well, guess I'm not travelling this Christmas. But we do get the NTDP U-18 game, which is nice. Weather (and toddler, and move, andby Beeeej - Hockey

Trotsky I never understood why WVBR doesn't do the games. It's not as if their other programming relies on large audiences; well, I shouldn't say that, I am judging by back in the day when Throbbing Gristle was too mainstream for their DJs. I'm reasonably certain it had something to do with not wanting to spend the money on the rights. That plus the training program for sportsies at VBR neverby Beeeej - Hockey

Jeff Hopkins '82 Beeeej BearLover My suggestion to the ticket office would be to package the ECAC home playoff round together with student season tickets. That would make season tickets consist of 11-12 games assuming Cornell finishes top 4 in the league. They should also remove the 6 intersession games from the package and reduce prices accordingly. Not my preference, but Cornell would still hby Beeeej - Hockey

The Rancor chimpfood We host Alaska January 9-10. Hell yeah. My only gripe now is that 6 of our 13 home games are over winter break. I’ll be here but it won’t make for an electric student section. Looking forward to the extra 2 games in 26-27 (assuming we travel to Alaska next year) Alaska has a bonkers schedule. Are they playing Anchorage... 8 times? Chris '03 Beeeej billhoward LetsGoTech16 Iv'e heard Cornell vs BC at Lynah on October 18th. Not sure if there is a home/home with that. ER stereax upprdeck So if rooms were $150 a night people would be fine with the cost but $300 is too much? I get a 7 day vacation it adding up but to quibble about $150 for 2 day thing? Staying in Toledo was about $250 for the hockey NCAA. $300 per night for 2 nights is basically the rest of my current bank account, lmfao.... I personally don’t think it’s worth it to travel to NYC thanksgivby Beeeej - Hockey

adamw chimpfood Look no farther than this year’s national champ, western Michigan, for evidence that a platoon can work until they decide it doesn't. Slukynsky started the last 10 games of the year. Something 2001-02 Cornell notably did not eventually do with LeNeveu. Actually went the other way, I think. Schafer platooned Underhill and LeNeveu right up until the end of the regular season. Beeeej BearLover —it’s massive. 14 incoming recruits must be the largest in the history of Cornell hockey. The staff and leaders are going to have their work cut out for them getting everyone up to speed on the culture and expectations. Adding to the difficulty is that there is a new head coach, a new assistant coach, and very few seniors. IIRC, the incoming group in 1992-93 was also 14. Theiby Beeeej - Hockey

chimpfood I dont expect Omaha to be good next year but it’s a fun opponent that I can’t remember ever seeing at lynah, so I’m fine with it. We opened with two at Lynah against UNO in 2014-15, a 1-1 tie and a 1-2 loss. Their visit was a return favor for our trip to Omaha to open the season in 2013-14 (5-3 and 4-3 wins for the good guys).
