Re: MLS - 19 years ago
Cricket wasn't even a rumor, it just plain didn't exist. I still wonder if they photoshopped the pictures on that pageby puff - Hockey
Re: This Week's Column Up - 19 years ago
good idea, solve some of the boredom between games maybe... like its better than playing a nhl video game and focusing your team on past Cornell players. (like ganderson i also in all practicality have nothing to do)by puff - Hockey
Re: MLS - 19 years ago
Thats just one of those mysterious sports we never heard about and/or doubted thier real existance... like hockey, the devils game and squash.by puff - Hockey
Re: MLS - 19 years ago
well yeah, cause the real men did track to get in better shape for football. Baseball was for the those lesser individuals . And oh how my old coach would be unable to sleep at night if he knew i played IM the devils game the last couple years at cornell.by puff - Hockey

atb9 Wrote: ... I think soccer gets a real bum deal in America. Very possibly it stems from coaches i had in high school. For the 4 years i was there i heard nothing but about how soccer was the devils own sport from my football coach. He really was just protecting his job, had soccer moved into my school, we would have had a hard time fielding both teams, especially with any quality.by puff - Hockey
Re: How To Be a Good Fan - 19 years ago
Speaking of the crazies from duke... the depth of the operation that led to the missing jordan jersey from nc state a while back is amazing. That took craftiness, creativity and extreme dedication.by puff - Hockey
Re: RPI primer (brackets for dummies): Why #2/#3 Cornell may seed lower - 19 years ago
Impressive looking, but to be completely honest its been too long since i took stats freshman year. It all just kinda blew over my head. Hopefully given some more time i'll sort this out, i feel slow on the uptake these days -tewinksby puff - Hockey
Re: ECAC Playoff Predictions! - 19 years ago
I really have no complaints about how those ECAC playoffs worked outby puff - Hockey
Re: Unsung Hero - 19 years ago
But things were undecided at that point. I could see him starting Chabot if the win/loss doesn't affect seedings for the playoffs. But say if we've say already locked up 1st place in the league going into the last home game, i could see Chabot getting the start for the amount of loyalty he's shown to the team. Sure, he's no Mckee, Lenevue, Underhill, etc. but he has had the loyalty to the TEAMby puff - Hockey
Re: Unsung Hero - 19 years ago
Couldn't have worded my thoughts better myself about special K. As for pegs, he had a pretty good freshman year, struggled last year, seems to be pulling things together a bit this year. Does he suck, no, but there are many other players that i would place as the unsung hero. My vote would be either abbott or downs. Until Iggy got named as the shorthanded hero, and got his 5 (i think?) gwg i wby puff - Hockey
Re: Numbers: Box Set - 19 years ago
Those are career marks. I know i wouldn't want to jinx him and put up his stellar numbers until his career is over. AND i don't want to call his career over now (let him stay the next 2 years).by puff - Hockey
Re: Jessiman returns vs. Harvard - 19 years ago
Maybe a little off topic but i thought this thug was a lil overrated (not the most overrated though). I ran on search on google for "big goon hockey" You'd never guess what (who) #2 on the list was. Our favorite ex-Clarkson player.by puff - Hockey
Re: Jessiman returns vs. Harvard - 19 years ago
I definately didn't cry when he left yale. I'm pretty sure the yalies did though.by puff - Hockey
Re: The game within the game - 19 years ago
i was just going to say the same thing. From the other stats presented, i would have thought that Clarkson would win the cleaver cheer department.by puff - Hockey
Re: Saturday 2/26 other scores - 19 years ago
I definately agree with that. But you never know, of the top 8 team some teams might think they would want to play us if given the choice. But really who in thier right mind wants to face a solid team on a streak with a good goalie whose on fire?by puff - Hockey
Re: Saturday 2/26 other scores - 19 years ago
According to some people (particularly out west), pulling cornell as the #5 seed would be better than potentially what 6-8 could be. Because we are sooo overrated .by puff - Hockey
Re: Clarkson post-game thread. - 19 years ago
Two of LeNevue's SHUTOUTS (edited:not saves ) came in the playoffs.by puff - Hockey
Re: ECAC Playoffs - 19 years ago
From judging the success of the 7 vs. 10 the past couple years, you gotta give princeton a chance.by puff - Hockey
Re: web broadcast of todays game? - 19 years ago
xmi only does the cornell home games. I think the only other hockey they do is Colgate. Other than the big green, i dont' think anyone else does webfeeds in the ECAC. IF there were a webcast of today's game i'd be overjoyed, but its safe to assume we'll have to be satisfied with audio only.by puff - Hockey
Re: Connection outage end of St. Lawrence game? - 19 years ago
I got the same thing as bill. didn't know if it was from my end or not so i restarted and it worked fine.by puff - Hockey
Re: Cornell 1 St. Lawrence 0 (1st) - 19 years ago
Especially when he's around the rest of the team.by puff - Hockey
Re: Cornell 1 St. Lawrence 0 (1st) - 19 years ago
It seems a lil that way right now. Lots of saves by Mckeeby puff - Hockey
Re: Why are there no defense cheers? - 19 years ago
ok,i admit this doesn't work 'cause that would be bad... So caught up with my rare spark of creativity i wasn't able to help myself. Between the goalie's toesby puff - Hockey
